looks like anyone enjoyed the yellowsn0w.. Nice job dev team. I just wondering the user that says ( say no to turbo sim and no to locked iphone ) also hangin here to discuss bout this apps to unlock iphone 3G. I tot they also used the locked set too but flaming others not to use it.. Haha..

They have to turn their turbosim business into "yellowsn0w unlocked services"...
I think the price of iPhone 3G will gonna go down soon after this yellowsn0w thingy become very much stable...

I don't dare to that first... I have read many comments from people who upgrade from 0.9.1 to 0.9.4 / 0.9.4 to 0.9.5 and it doesn't work anymore....

Juz successfully unlocked my colleague's US Iphone 3g after months left dusty and molded after accidentally updated to 2.2.

Care to share which method works best for you?

He is using Maxis, but the time I unlocked his Iphone im using my Happy sim card.
I juz follow the method posted on the 1st page of this thread.
When using his Maxis sim card, his Iphone cannot find any network.
but when once again using Digi method for my Happy sim card, it work flawlessly.
After that I switched back his Maxis sim card into,and walla!
MY MAXIS line come up shortly after that and his Iphone is revived!

so swapping card is also one of the method.... interesting.... shall take note of it....

Err.... I don't think its "swiping" but "swapping" card....

luckily there is dev-team comes to save the day.
now my fwen is happily downloading from cydia and appstore while doing some restore from itunes.

btw,if let say after there is something wrong and the Iphone have to restored back to normal (none JB Iphone) using Itunes, is the Iphone have to be JB and installed yellowsn0w once again for the Iphone to be unlocked?
or is the yellowsn0w-ing is done only once?

Yes - you need JB and run the same process again (download and install yellowsn0w).

dzerg - I owned the iPod Touch much earlier before I chose to get the iPhone 3G....

I juz yellowsn0w-ed back my colleague's Iphone 3G coz after reboot, it wont show any single bar of line.
His is using Maxis btw..
rite now if he need to reboot his Iphone, he has to turn ON the Airplane Mode and wait about 20 seconds,and then turn it OFF again,and after that the Iphone began searching for line again.

but sadly, he cannot use Edge or 3G connection.i turn the Edge and 3G on but the "E" or "3G" symbol does not appearing at all. At first I thought there are no any 3G signal available, but mine showing full bar on 3G. So I think yellowsn0w still cannot rectify how to catch the Egde or 3G line.

Hope that dev-team can do another miracle with a stable and final version of yellowsn0w.

I think yellowsn0w have done its job.
Maybe you need to try again....

i juz tried over and over again using cydia and installer,but not both at the same time.
getting the same result again and again. also already restore and JB 2 times..
still the same result occur..
dont know why..
currently his Iphone is fully functional..but only for call and sms..but still none for 3G connection.

Why not use your 3G simcard into his iPhone and see whether it can get the 3G or not?

his Maxis sim card already 3G maa...

if his Iphone is US model then CANT use 3G.

mine is US Iphone white 16GB same problem. so the supplier told me to turn off 3G then everything is ok

dzerg - Just to double check with your own 3G simcard lah and see whether it works or not since you said, that you can receive 3G signal with your phone. Maybe something wrong with his 3G simcard.

ParaOpticaL - My iPhone 3G is a USA set and I can use 3G and EDGE...
