Someone should create a poll on whether their telco/carrier can work without any problems with yellowsn0w. or with any drop calls or not.

I saw this comment on the pwnage blog.

QUOTE
FOR ALL T-MOBILE UK, O2 UK and VODAFONE UK CUSTOMERS - THE MOBILE TERMINAL FIX WORKS - NO LOSS OF SERVICE.

THIS WORKS EVERY TIME

Simply follow the instructions already given here after installing Yellowsn0w.

Install Mobile Terminal through the Cydia (listed near the bottom of the Featured Packages section)

Install SBsettings (also in Featured Packages). For those that don't know SBsettings is a quick-access settings menu which doesn't require the closure of running apps to turn on/off features such as Wifi and Airplane Mode. Swipe the finger horizontally across the very top of the screen to open SBsettings and ensure that the Airplane toggle switch is there. If it isn't go to MORE, and change the toggle to ON.

REBOOT

Go straight to the Terminal icon and open it up:

type yellowsn0w -c

HIT RETURN and wait until the terminal allows you to input more text

Type yellowsn0w -q

Hit RETURN and WAIT TWENTY SECONDS

open sbsettings with a fingerswipe and hit the Airplane toggle switch

WAIT TEN SECONDS

hit the toggle switch again to switch the radio back on

The phone will now display 'SEARCHING' and very soon a signal will appear.

I have tested this with outgoing calls, incoming calls and ingoing/outgoing SMS with no problems. This fix works whether 3G is activated or not and all 3g services work once APN settings are input.

Thank you so much to whoever came up with this fix, and thank you dev team, I'm sure you'll have a flawless app ready for us in no time

I wonder if this would solve the problem if signal dropping for some. Sounds like it might just be the solution.

Do we need a poll for that?

Llallalalallala...ada pinned thread tak tahu baca..here you go.

The EDGE (E) and GPRS (o) icons in the top-left corner of your iPhone screen will always be there whether or not EDGE is On/Off.

The good thing about this unlock is that it brings the price of the iPhone 3G down. DevTeam's effort should be applauded. It actually works, although with plenty of bugs. But given time, it should stabilize. It's way better than other type of unlocks.

is better than using sim unlocker..... but OFFICIAL UNLOCK i still the best...

As of now... it's 0.9.4 beta

QUOTE
There is a known issue with SIM cards that have STK (SIM Toolkit) application menus.  These menus are usually items such as “top up” “get credit” “lotto numbers” etc. These menu items confuse the application sometimes.  Removing and reinserting the SIM once after reboot (give it about 10 secs 60 seconds (with v0.9.1) after you see the slide to unlock widget) fixes this issue.  We’re working on a better fix.  Update: version 0.9.4 fixes this for many (but probably not all) users who previously had to wait a minute and then replug the sim.
