QUOTE(wet1qao @ Apr 25 2018, 06:23 PM) Hi, i still have some annual leaves including bring forwarded annual leaves from last year, after i give resignation letter, by default HR will convert my unutilized annual leaves to money or automatic offset my notice if i did not tell them my choice? either offset or convert to money. The bring forwarded leave can be convert to money? Usually will offset so you can leave early. But why want to offset them when you can turn it into cash? I reckon you should email to your HR and notify them you will serve FULL notice and convert those unused annual leaves into cash.

This is best if you could check with your HR. But I believe you don't entitle it if your role in the company is completely changed, ie: change of work nature, direct superior, department.

Hi. I got similar case with others but need your guys advice. Receive offer from company B and already tender resign to company A Company A want counter offer but I already sign offer from company B but still not start working. Question, if company A offer better (which I work now) than company B, how is the process? Do I need to tell company B that I will not join them although I already sign the offer letter? Reason for leaving : underpaid Thanks

Reason for leaving : underpaid Thanks If a company only give you better pay because you are leaving, IMO you shouldn't stay. Also that depends on the difference between the new salary adjustment and company B's offer. If you think the amount is significant enough to cause a difference/impact, then you can consider to stay. I believe you can talk to the HR from company B and see how they work. But I can tell you that you are burning the bridge to company B if you do that.

The current company counter me same amount I get from new company. Job scope wise still same and the difference is distance old company : near new company : far ( KL vs kelana Jaya)

Counter offer is to provide an offer that is higher than the current one, not match the current one. But if you think you can settle with it, then by all means go ahead.

I shall proceed my resignation. Thanks.

Companies won't mind buying you out lah. Otherwise if you're really desperate worse case scenario say your notice is 2 months and you foot the bill yourself for buying out that one month. Might be worth the while over the long run.

Otherwise u'll be 'forced' to accept the job or be hanging without a job confirmation after u resigned.

If yes then wait until you get their offer letter, go through and agreed/sign on the LOO. Then you send the LOO back to new company and at the same time tender your resignation to your current company. That should be the correct way to tender without getting your work in risk.
