Hi. I got similar case with others but need your guys advice.
Receive offer from company B and already tender resign to company A
Company A want counter offer but I already sign offer from company B but still not start working.
Question, if company A offer better (which I work now) than company B, how is the process? Do I need to tell company B that I will not join them although I already sign the offer letter?
Reason for leaving : underpaid
Thanks

If a company only give you better pay because you are leaving, IMO you shouldn't stay. Also that depends on the difference between the new salary adjustment and company B's offer. If you think the amount is significant enough to cause a difference/impact, then you can consider to stay.

I believe you can talk to the HR from company B and see how they work. But I can tell you that you are burning the bridge to company B if you do that.

Thank you for your input. The current company counter me same amount I get from new company. Job scope wise still same and the difference is distance
old company : near
new company : far ( KL vs kelana Jaya)

I'd say leave. Counter offer is to provide an offer that is higher than the current one, not match the current one. But if you think you can settle with it, then by all means go ahead.

Alright. The old one counter exact amount I receive but divided into basic plus Allowance whereby the new on basic already high. I shall proceed my resignation. Thanks.

Hi guys,

My current company have this clause;

The Company also reserves the right not to allow
you to offset any unconsumed leave against your notice of resignation.

So that mean I i give them 1 month notice, my AL cannot be use to offset the resignation day right?
