All ipod except nano and shuffle is not meant for jogging..

That is why Nike + apple only support nano. touch, classic, video uses hard drive. While nano uses flash drive.
The reason is, harddrive memory might be corrupted if it is vigorously bump. but anyway, i used it for jogging too..lol sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
Ya kah? I use my iPod touch for jogging and workout actually, doesn't seem to give major problems though (touch-wood biggrin.gif)!

But yeah, the nike + iPod works with the touch as well, the only difference is the touch does not require the receiver unlike the nano... If u tap the Settings, there is a nike + iPod option at the bottom of the screen for configuration... thumbup.gif

guys
but dont u feel uncomfortable when ur sweat over ur headphone/earphone
thats the reason i dont jog with my touch
im easy sweat
*
I don't use the included iPod earphones actually... I'm using the rubberized in-ear Earpumps by Sonicgear, which provides an excellent listening pleasure when jogging as well as sweat-resistant! laugh.gif

haha, smart boss, promoting ur Sonic Gear earpumps eh xD Actually u r rite, IEM should solve the sweating problem smile.gif
*
Thats y the in-ear phones with the rubberized padding is the best when doing light exercises such as running on the threadmill or jogging... At least the pads won't absorb the sweat unlike the cloth-based ones that come with the standard earphones... But one problem i have with the Earpumps is the tendency for the phones to start falling off when i've exercised for, say, 40+ minutes and already very sweaty... Bcoz the buds are rubber, they can slip easily! laugh.gif

guys, got my ipod touch today.

just wanna ask, what's is your recommended earphones? I find the one that comes with it isn't up to par.

plus, there's no built in equalizer?
*
I agree that the built-in iPod earphones are a bit sucky...

That's y i'm using the Earpump by Sonicgear... It's an affordable in-ear phones and effectively blocks out the surrounding noise, giving a nice listening experience...

I'm selling the Earpump for M$39.00 but it's free with purchase of any iPod from THTgadgets.com... Oh ya, before I forget, there are nine cool colors to choose from! thumbup.gif

I disagree.. phone + PMP..? U gonna run out of batt in 30 sec...  tongue.gif

Even with the ipod touch i still feel the low battery capacity is very annoying... Imagine using iphone.. play till low batt then wanna make calls n stuff..  rclxub.gif  doh.gif
*
I agree with ur points there, mate... Which is why i don't quite like to use a combo device such as the iPhone, instead, i prefer to have the touch and a mobile phone as a standalone... As my usage of both the phone and touch are quite heavy, the chances of draining the battery to zero within the day is high and this will cause much inconvenience when needing to, say, make urgent phone calls while listening to songs!

just wan to ask about wifi on the touch....why it cant auto detect available network? is it i need to key in the network name everytime i wan to go online? such as starbuck??
*
I don't have this problem, mate... After tapping on Settings, u select Wi-Fi... In that screen, u just have to switch On the option of "Ask to Join Networks"... After selecting a favorite network from, say, Starbucks (Timezone), ur touch will automatically detect Timezone whenever u have WiFi enabled in a Starbucks outlet...

Hope that helps! thumbup.gif

depending on usage... but some pointers la, for maximum lifespan, reduce brightness, no musics playing while surfing should help increase the lifespan while you're using the iPod Touch

just my 2 sen anyways smile.gif
*
Well, to put it this way, I was using the touch at KLIA while waiting for my brother to come out at the arrival lounge (nighttime flight yesterday)... I used the iPod to access the 'Net and I waited for my bro for around 35 minutes... During that time, my iPod's battery fell from around 20+% to below 10% while doing the Internet stuff... That was pure surfing btw, and without listening to MP3s...

Guys, i'm looking for a speaker to pair with one of my three iPod (primarily the touch!) and am now stuck between the Klipsch iGroove and Jamo i200...

The iGroove seems to get great reviews on Amazon actually... But the i200 is much cheaper although both have quite similar specs including sound quality... For u guys who may own either one of these speakers, which is the recommended one?

Thanks ya! thumbup.gif

I just brought 2nd Gen 32GB and after listening music a few days...just want to try the WIFI...it can't detect at all...even my 5800 and N85 can detect wifi except my touch..any idea what to do? thanks
*
Did u update the OS to 2.2? That one has rectified the problems faced by the WiFi service on the touch...

And as for speakers, is the Klipsch or Jamo recommended?

oh, then u think 8gb is sufficient? Do u use it to watch movies frequently? And the youtube apps in touch is same as the youtube website one? I mean the video content? Or the sucky m.youtube.com where the videos are outdated.
*
Hmmmm, depends on the number of songs or videos u have, as well as any future apps and photos that u intend to download / install... For me, 16GB is more than enough for 700+ songs and around 2k photos... I have only got one miserly video of an iPod touch demo also... laugh.gif

As for YouTube, i can't really comment as i hardly watch it on the touch! biggrin.gif

I want winterboard on my ipod touch sad.gif

Wondering will the developers will actually bother to JB touch 2g or not.
*
Mate, what is this Winterboard app that u're wishing is available for the touch?

And yeah, i'm also curious as to why Apple developer have not worked out any proposal to enable jailbreaking on the iPod touch 2G? If the 2G can be JB'ed, its attractiveness will sure jump up a great notch for many potential buyers! rclxms.gif

hmm.gif there is something I don't understand... why when I press the Itunes icon on my itouch it comes out a message saying that my country doesn't support i-store

Weird isn't it? im able to access i-store on my pc but can't on my itouch...
*
Ya kah? As far as i know, we in Malaysia do not have the actual iTunes store, i.e. the one where ppl can purchase music legally... The only open open to us in MYland is the App Store, which is what we are used to seeing in the PC version of iTunes...

Hope that answers ur query! rclxms.gif

i dunno how to use itunes lol.

keep on uploading multiple songs of the same title to my ipod. One song got 4 copies inside LOL>
*
Then u need to do the mafan way that i did to "spring-clean" my iTunes playlist... I also kena the same problem whereby some songs are also repeated two or three times... So i need to manually delete the repeated songs one-by-one before doing the sync with the iPod... smile.gif
