Jonny i went to try out one of the YSL that you recommended but i guess it's too woody for my taste.. guess my preference is still the aquatics type? currently using bulgari blv, lasts for very long too!

Which YSL did u try ?

If u like aquatics its not a problem, just make sure u get good quality ones like Bulgari Aqua, Versace Pour Homme and Chanel Allure Homme Sport.

I suggest something masculine and woody. Aramis (1965), Dunhill Edition, Guerlain Vetiver, YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme, YSL Kouros, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Azzaro Pour Homme and Chanel Antaeus.

Wait a min ! Aiyo...dude can't u do a search instead ? A guy asked the same thing on this thread last week la. Go check pg 44 and 45.

Nice to hear u tried my recommendations biggrin.gif

Different people interpret a perfume differently. Some people mention that A*Men smells more of coffee than chocolate. I get a very strong milo/coco kind of smell after about 2 hours.

I would say The Dreamer is more wearable but then again its really up to ur nose to decide. Dreamer smells strongly of tobacco and florals at the side. By tobacco i mean the plant not cigarette smoke or cigarette. It's slightly sweet but not as sweet as A*Men. Quite nice to wear.

YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme should be the best for you IMO. It's not as masculine as the rest i recommended but still unique enough to set u apart. Whenever I wear Rive Gauche I usually get positive comments but some younger girls find it too "old man". But women love Rive Gauche.

It's very versatile and long lasting. i'm saying this based on personal experience as RG is one of my favourite frags.

I don't think it smells sexy and sensuous. To me it smells macho.

Well we can't please everyone.

My gf loves the usual aquatic/fresh stuff but she really like Rive Gauche and always insist I wear it.

Element - Waste of money. Boring, uninspired, short lasting and etc.

XY - This one is actually not bad. Quite minty and refreshing. If u don't like the smell of mint then u shud avoid this.

If I were you, I will get XY...I think it's cheaper too.
