ic...maybe i can use it only for outing n stick to dunhill and armani for office..btw are both long lasting? any other recommendation for office and smoker?

smoker scents are usually woody or spicy. Dunhil would be a "smoker" scent in a way

Le Male and black XS would be good for clubbing or a weekend trip to the mall...or anything casual really. Le Male is very long lasting and people around u will definitely smell it that's why it's not so good for office. Black XS is very strong too for the first 1-2 hours, after that it kind of gets somewhat subtle but still noticeable but not as strong as Le Male. Dunhill and Armani for the office should be perfect.

In the previous page, I already listed out a few good fragrances that are good for smokers..you should check that post out. Those perfumes should be suitable for the office too if u don't spray too much. However, those fragrances are more masculine and old fashioned compared to what u already own so it might not be to your taste.

I do not think there is such thing as a "smoker scent".

Hi Jonny,

I am looking for something that smells not to heavy, mystery, comfortable and such, anything that comes near to these? A perfume for early 20s teenager what do you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

I think Kenzo Power, Bulgari Black and Paco Rabanne Black XS should suit you. Remember to try it on skin instead of paper.

YSL L'Homme will be great for you. I'll add Dior Homme and Gucci Pour Homme II as sueestions for u to try. Do remember to spray the perfume on skin instead of paper when u try it out.

I suggest u test these perfumes at Parkson Pavilion or Parkson KLCC. Metrojaya Midvalley and Robinsons The Gardens are also good places to test perfumes. Once u have pin pointed what u want then u can head to perfume retailers like Just Parfum, Perfume Jewel, Perfume Shoppe and etc to get the perfume u want. These shops offer discounts on average about RM30 off normal retail price. However, sometimes the stock at these shops are older but on some occasions I have noticed that stocks in these places can even be newer than at counters. So depends on your luck and on what perfume u r buying. Always look out for the small sticker indicating the manufactured date..can't always trust the sticker but it's better than nuthing.

There is always a risk of fakes at these places i guess but after buying about a dozen from them, none were fake. SASA is also a place where u can get perfumes at a cheaper price but the lights there are just too bright for comfort so i avoid going there. Prices are tightly controlled most of the time so there won't be a big difference between prices at Just Parfum and Perfume Jewel.

Also, those shops don't give any free gifts unlike the counters where u get free samples, bags and etc. So depends on your preference, free gifts or RM30 discount. The variety of perfumes do vary among these shops but still some brands like Hermes and Prada are only available at department store counters.

Common brands like CK and Armani can be obtained almost everywhere but if u r looking for the older more obscure perfumes, u might need to do some treasure hunting.

Just to share,

I wear Dunhill London for office, sweet, subtle, and not too strong. Very refreshing although it doesnt last the whole day..

For other occasions and especially at night i use Joop! its stronger, more masculine and most girls like it tongue.gif

My all time favourite is Burberry Brit (or london, can't remember its the one in brown) but just thought of trying new perfumes.

I tried it last weekend and IMHO it was very boring. Somewhat similar to CK Free but its one of those safe boring scents that everyone from a teenager to a old man will like. It will sell well. For that price I can get many more interesting unique scents. Just saying.

I own a bottle of L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme and I find it too sweet and floral for an aquatic scent. But it's much more unique compared to the new releases like CK Free and Davidoff Hot Water.

L'Eau Bleue D'Issey pour Homme and L'Eau Bleue d'Issey Eau Fraîche is quite nice too because they provide something a little more unique to the fresh/aquatic fragrance genre.

As Daymon mentioned YSL = Yves Saint Laurent

U can try YSL perfumes at Parkson KLCC, Parkson Pavilion, Robinsons and Sogo. There are a few other places but i'm not sure how big a range is available.
