Personal loan's interest rate also quite high.
Suggest to ask help from your family members or friend that willing to help. Give them 4% of interest rate.

I don't want to trouble my family, they are not rich as well.
that's why I plan for personal loan.

Just make it this way : FD's interest rate are still < 4% average per year, you are helping your self and giving some extra money(as interest) for your family.
BTW, how much is your debt?
You have to judge your self, paying > 6% of interest to others or 4% of interest to family.
Have to know that, by paying extra rm1 to banks, you are rm1 lesser. Better roll your money within your family.
I'm doing this to my family and my close friend. Don't dirty your name on such bad debt, you will regret later.
At the same time you need to review your current spending also, that's the only way to make your balance sheet looks nice.

I received a SMS today from somebody that not even in my address book on debt restructuring/repayment package at low interest. The sender put a contact number and addressed himself as Alex. laugh.gif

Sounded very fishy! Did anybody receive similar message via SMS or whatsapp message lately or recently?

Hi Guys,

I need some advises, i have outstanding amount of 23k with Amex Corporate Card, and found out that AKPK doesn't entertain this kind of card.

I'm planning to enroll in AKPK as i also have personal loans and credit card. This is the only way that i see fit. While i think it should go well for pl and cc, i still need to find a way to solve the Amex problem.

Appreciate if you guys can advise on this. I'm stuck. Thanks a lot in advance!

23 is not a big amount, do a balance transfer.

if still need AKPK, after do balance transfer wit ur issuing bank, then apply AKPK.

Clear the AKPK first. Already hit by financial issue and still never learn?
First job rm3000, second job rm5100, even you can continue to slowly pay AKPK, it will still be a burden.
Unless you scare no house after next year, then by all means go for it. Since you enter AKPK before, is not hard if you were to enter AKPK for second time and seek for help.

As a mortgage broker, I always come across a number of clients under AKPK who wishes to apply for a loan. The short answer would be no, you can't apply for any new loans from the banks because the AKPK remark will appear in your CCRIS under the loans that is under AKPK.

What you should do is to try and settle the loan with the bank, get the loan record out of your name, and then apply for the housing loan. No banks would know of your records unless you apply to them while still under AKPK, so as someone who is in the business, I would recommend AGAINST applying for any loan anytime soon.

Also, just so you know there is joining AKPK twice. Once you are in it, you have one chance of making it right. The second time you are under your personal financial crisis, the AKPK will not be helping you.

Im not familiar with Ar Rahnu, but as far as I understand, they are not a bank, so it leads me to believe that they do not participate in reporting to CCRIS thus they have no access to them. As such, they wont be able to check your CCRIS so they wouldnt know that you are in AKPK.

Having said that... as a Muslim i do suggest that you stay away from all those Ar-Rahnu "gold" thing. They don't sound right and smells like a ponzi (which is haram) to me. I am not qualified to talk about it more than that, I suggest you look into it and decide for yourself.

It's going to be difficult, but you could talk to your bank to release you from the AKPK program, then you would continue paying like normal (whatever you can nego with your bank)

Once you have been released from AKPK (despite not paying all your loans) you could try to refinance your property to consolidate all your loans into one mortgage account. But make sure your CCRIS is clean, your other repayments that are not under AKPK need to look nice too

Go ahead and print out the CCRIS, that will help figure your credit out

The bank will look into his/her account and credit history and will find out that the person does have loans under special attention (AKPK) and will most likely reject the application.
