Oh okay. Meaning that would need to inform the counselor in cases whereby may delay on the payment.
Did your counselor mentioned on the procedures of AKPK cancelling the agreement?

Is it like, missed 1 payment also they straight away cancel it?

My counselor did not say, but I understand that if consecutively missed three payments then you are out of AKPK's program.

If you missed your payment, they will send sms as reminder for the 1st time. Then you should call up to your Counselor/AKPK for clarifications why you missed/delayed that re-payment. But this will not cancel your 1st reminder, and if not mistaken, upon 2nd reminder, they will look into the case and give official notice to you for the cancellation.

*i got my 1st reminder sms, but i did not missed payment, just that i din look into the agreement that the re-payment figures actually increase after a few years time.

as soon as you get all the documents complete, you will receive the letter within 3 weeks (my case in year 2010). You can actually just tell to all the bankers who call you for payment that you already apply AKPK, they will stop calling you. Good luck smile.gif

but i still receive call everyday from citibank, and rhb bank via sms.
i applied and received letter on december 2013, so far, i had made 3 times payment to AKPK.

by the way, the letter that sent to me by AKPK didnt list out the percentage of the total amount of debt.
May i know how to check it? As per refer from the bank statement, it is still stating 17% per a.m.

How to know the percentage?

you may need to consider for house refinance for cash out than pay off the credit card. It is not a wise idea to go for AKPK as their interest won't be as low as house refinancing.

i just graduated from akpk in Feb 2014. My CCRIS report is clear. But my CTOS still showed (though they put remarks that the account has been settled).

I applied for credit card with HLB/Alliance & RHB, all rejected.

I am not sure why some people can get credit cards and some people got rejected. One of my friend told me that have to wait few months for cool off period.

I'm made full settlement to all bank on Aug 2013 and received the AKPK release letter on September.
In December 2013 I applied for OCBC CC and get approved and Jan 2014 PBB and CIMB both also approved my credit card application.

what my experience is I did applied for Maybank and Allianz bank after i got my OCBC credit card...both banks immediately rejected me after my CC application submitted in their system. Because i got loan restructuring with them (akpk converted cc debt became term loan).

Conclusion is....if you quit from AKPK program....no need waste time to apply those banks which u got debt with them. Even you fully settled , i believe those banks got internal system to record it...so when u apply CC..system will auto rejected....good luck

I have learned my lessons. From now on, I will only shop when I have the cash. If I don't have enough cash, I will save until I have it before buying it. For big amount, I use bank drafts.

No credit card, no impulse to buy on credit. Habits died hard, its better to be safe than sorry.

May be your application was approved becoz your ctos has cleared. I only owed one bank and i didnt approached the said bank.

My case a bit different. I was summoned by bank for property auction. I have enrolled akpk and made final settlement in Feb 2014. Hence my summon shall remain in CTos with a note stating "this account has been fully settled".

I shall wait for few month and apply again.

After fully paying back of course technically the bank should not reject your application but then again bank knows of your history. This can be high risk customer and this can be reason to reject you.
