My scenario:
Total owed to 3 banks is RM55,000 Monthly repayment is RM800 (6% interest) To date (76 months) paid RM60,800 Current Outstanding is RM10,000 Banks still charge interest on top of the 6% interest included in the repayment amount? |

Guys sharing my DMP journey, back in 2016 my family was hit with financial issues, and I have to used all my savings + CC cash advance to help out. Initially my monthly salary is able to service the monthly commitment, but in 2017 another bomb dropped and I totally lost control of the debt, and I have enrolled with DMP from Sep 2017, managed to clear all CC debt in March-2022. AKPK restructure my debt (72k CC Debt) as follows Maybank CC - 10k CIMB CC - 25k CITI CC - 30k UOB CC - 12k Interest rate 8%, monthly repayment RM1500 for 10 years I have another housing loan account which is not restructured and I continue to pay as usual. Thankfully during this period, I'm doing very well in my job and my salary increases gradually from 7k to 15k per month over these 5 years, and I make extra payment into each CC account every month to speed up the repayment. Every yearly bonus I received, I'll use it to pay one lump sump to clear off 1 CC by contacting bank and ask for full settlement amount. Settlement Year & Discount 2018 - Maybank CC - Balance at 6k, offered to settle with 1k discount 2019 - CIMBCC - Balance at 15k, offered to settle with 5k discount 2020 - UOB CC - Balance at 9k, offered to settle with 3k discount 2022 - CITI CC - Balance at 22k, offered to settle with 2k discount So in March 2022 after receiving my yearly bonus, I managed to graduate from AKPK, and after checking my eCCRIS record and make sure all the special attention CC accounts are removed in April 2022, new CC & hired purchased loan are approved without any question asked from banks. It's been hell of the 5 years for me, but it is also life changing as I learn to be more financial literate. Oh yes, I also meet my gf & got married with her during this period as well. littleheart78, gashout, and 12 others liked this post

QUOTE(lalakiki @ Aug 11 2022, 11:04 AM) since 500k is huge amount... if u afford to pay then dun choose AKPK.. otherwise AKPK is ur 2nd choices... Not much choices, that's the reason I wanna to ask/seek opinion. |
