Old city was also SOHC engine.

Nope only IDSI using SOHC...VTEC using DOHC..

THATs y IDSI feel like 1000cc car..

ANyway, its a nice car,not as powerful as i expected..Jazz 1.5 more powerfull..yaya,lighter body and all..but the power for the new CITY now is between IDSI and VTEC...

Test drove it 2 times and felt the same thing at two different showrooms.

actually its a pretty balance car for this new city. honda could had tuned it more aggressive (full time "S"uicide mode, its all about the programing) but prefer to stick to economy drive. its ivtec, supposed to inherit vtec's power and idsi's fuel efficiency or so to say.

Yea.. i know what u mean. I've seen my fair share of ppl like that in other threads in LYN. Pretty annoying.
Hahahah! A 'lil hard to "undertable" at the moment since the demand for the car is pretty good. Nice try though...  rclxms.gif
*
yeap, exactly.... those ppl are all talk and no show...

for this new city, it will be hard to undertable but i believe sure there will be people who insist to undertable cuz they want to be the first to be seen with a new city on the road... u know la, malaysians...
laugh.gif

i have tested the jazz 1.5 i-vtec with paddle shift...
power is strong for a 1.5 class car...

i expect that the power to be the same with the city since both are running the same engine and weight quite closely to each other...
until i test it out for a comparison, i can only imagine...

today i tried the city in sec 13. Just love the looks of the car. Overall, i like this car.

Dont quite like the odometer tho... dont look quite right to me with the circular engraving thing. Th handbrake not so nice feel when pulling.

When i tried to tekan at a straight road... knn tha SA (uncle) told me to be careful, his life is important... then he buckled up his rear seatbelt... really pissed me off man!!... not to say i was cornering also. Gonna get another test drive at another showroom. So guys, if wanna test power, look for younger SA... hehe

I think old city also doesnt comes with water temp gauge, only red and blue indicators. You can buy plug and play water temp gauge e.g apexi i-moni (if compatible) to show water temp, just plug into OBD-II port which can be found under the steering, i alry checked, it is located at left side under the steering for this new city.

Yep. And this is just from LYN. Wonder how many more from ZTH.
Looks like nobody has chose the Deep Lapis Blue (DLB). I thought it was quite nice. One of my 3 choices. PMM / Silver / DLB (depending on whether I can get by car End-March or not

Oh ya. Regarding clamming RM625 for renewal of road tax, I've consulted my SA. He claim if we RENEW our road tax, we're applicable to get that claim but it's not applicable for NEW cars. Not sure is it same with what your SA told you. Really confusing. rclxub.gif

This is totally NOT true. As long as your car is registered before the benefit ends, then you can get the RM 625 for your new car's road tax.

I don't think so. I think your SA is lying and probably trying to "push delivery" to after 31/03/08 since alot of ppl are trying to get their cars before that date.

Unless I'm interpreting it wrongly..

"For Phase III of the implementation, vehicle owner who have purchased or renewed their road tax from 1 April 2008 until 31 March 2009 at any of the 683 Post Offices or JPJ counters or Myeg, can commence their Cash Rebate claims via PosOnline from 1 August 2008 (Friday) onwards."

or this

"For private eligible vehicle owners who have bought or renewed their Road Tax with the effective date from 1 April 2008 until 31 March 2009:"

Please refer to this website..
Pos Malaysiahttp://www.pos.com.my/v1/Postcode/pdf/petrol.htm

or this website Pos 2

Nothing is said about NEW car. I did call Pos Malaysia before and the person who spoke to me said it was okay, as long as you don't own > 5 cars under your name.
