Advice on tinting, if you are gonna use smart tag or GPS, suggest to get the tint with ceramic based. VKOOL is metal based and some basically face the problem using smart tag and getting GPS signal.

This is one of the reason I opted for Raytech as they are based on ceramic. Just my 2 sen...  icon_rolleyes.gif

My car is using V-Cool and I do have problem with the Smart Tag. It can be solve if you put the smart tag at the end of your mirror.... sweat.gif

I don't think Myvi is only locked by pressing brake. It's autolock too.

I agreed.. as i'm locking manually on current car too.. While autolock actually not really good if the driver is out to buy something and the door will be left unlock (If with foot break activated autolock)...

don't mean to critic this car.
but looking at it

exterior - the front look like a layered cake.
way too many layers...over size bumper.
Notice than most of the other carmakers are slowly having a same front identity - same front grill -- but Honda seems confused Civic is different from City. Accord, Stream, CRV, individual preference I guess..also they have more chances to facelift it 3 times b4 they produce a new model.

The behind of the car looks like someone smashed the lower part of the bumper. Curse of the big boot which reduces the overall wheelbase.

Once again, super high roof line =nissan latio?

on the looks from the side --> car looks like a truck super high ride, car just doesn't look stable bcos of the short wheelbase and long overhangs.
very high ride height - gap from tires to suspension seems like 4 x 4 .
wonder how bouncy the car will feel on uneven roads.

interior - same old soft plastics, gear stick looks like from an early 90's car --- > should have used the civic gear stick.
poor center fitting looks like taken from a half cut shop.

only thing nice is the meter cluster.
well at least better than the old city.

Just my opinion, don't mean to anger anyone .

cheers

Everyone here already kena poison.... so i think guys here wont read whatever bad about city now.... hahaha biggrin.gif

but i wish to post some experience of test drive of mine here.
Personally i test drive twice, one in cheras and another one in bukit bintang there.

First impression - Wow..... finally came out my baby.... waited for so long.... took some time to sit inside and explore a lots of exterior thing and engine thing.... First feeling is.... why the car is bigger than expected... like what other member said... looks like a bit huge or truck to me if stand near it.... but if see from other view.... very nice exterior....
E spec have all those thing i need, something like side mirror signal lamp, rear seat adjust and can put something extra below the seat, paddle shift (although i din use it often i think)
Other to me only same with S spec, rims to me... okla... if i got choice.... i will still change to other la.... but maybe wait until kemek or anything.

First test drive - I only able to get a short distance test (maybe about 1 km only) so it doesn't feel to much (3 people, me-60kg, SA - i think about 55kg coz he quite slim, my friend - 85kg. total about 200kg).... but first test drive are really good. engine start quietly, when press the pedal... the car easily move and i felt a bit power la.... i really like the sterling when control the car... feel so SPORTY... especially E spec sterling is with leather. like that. do not actually look at interior on first test drive. THINKING TO PUT DEPOSIT ALREADY)

Second test drive - The bad experience begins. maybe this time i take 5 people in once (me-60kg, my wife - 45kg, my fren - 65kg, fren2 - about 60kg - and the SA also slim - i give him 55the most, total is 285kg)
This time the drive.... when press the pedal.... the engine sound seems a bit noisy (UHHUHHHHHH), the change gear also a bit vibrate or shock....This time test drive because of traffic jam... so got time to explore some interior thing, i found something bad about the interior. The door there got place to put thing right??
user posted image
i meant the handle there, there is a join between the handle and door cushion, the join are badly merge. can see a line or whole, i tried to push to fix it but is not useful, my wife are curious what am i doing there... then i told her the problem quietly, then she told me "huh?? i thought my side got only?? your side also got??), then we look carefully at the quality of the interior, i meant the cd player thing there.... i think the quality are quite same with MYVI, if you are myvi owner... you will know what i mean.... the picture look nicer.... but the real thing seems so PLASTIC and FRAGILE)
but the main thing come back to accelerate.... a bit noisy to me when take more thing or people....

I have no intention to say bad about this car... because i am also the CITY fans, after i reach the showroom.... there is a JAZZ there... i sit inside and see the quality and merge technic... totally different.... then i ask the SA... he said JAZZ is fully import and CITY is made in Melaka.

so my second test drive makes me wanna thing over and over again.

The door lock does not come with switch?
It should be located at the power window switches...

hmm that's something to consider too. maybe i shall bring a few friends of mine to the test drive. besides, did they do a little enhancement to the test drive unit to make it felt nicer, maybe like add a little padding for slightly better sound proofing or use shell super petrol..etc? just asking...

I guess no car in this world will 100% satisfy a customer. If it doesn't meet ur expectation, you're not obligated to buy it. I've got to affirm that usually 1st batches do have a 'lil niggle here and there, but I guess there's always a first for everything. If you don't mind waiting for all the niggles to be ironed out..wait perhaps 6 months down the road when HM receives customer feedback etc. On the topic of Jazz (CBU) and City (CKD), well.. the prices says just says it. For a car without much of a boot costing in the excess of RM10k - RM15k over the latter, it'd better be of good quality.

I'm going to the showroom a lil later. Maybe after lunch. Will let you know on the queries asked just now.

P/s: The autolock issue isn't a big one. Though it is an added safety feature as I've got to admit that I'm one of the many out there who always forget to lock my car when I get in. Wouldn't it be a convenient to have the car lock itself once you start driving?
