Wokay.. decided on the E-Spec! tomorrow want to test drive again. Didn't notice, but does the key have a boot release mechanism? ie. just press the button and release? Modulo kit is overpriced.. the rear under-spoiler is quite ugly tho, imho.
*
ya, its quite big. i saw it going up to the millennium showroom, almost got scratch at the rear as its quite steep the road.

so now the unconfirmed facts is
1. the leather wrap gear knob
2. autolock
3. remote button for unlocking boot

Yea.. might get the trunk tray though (to avoid dirt or spillage).
RM200..sigh, so expensive. Wonder whether can get cheaper anywhere else.

Is it true that new City doesn't have auto lock when the car moves? What about auto unlock when you switch off the engine like the previous gen City? Can anyone who has test driven the car confirm this?
This auto lock and unlock feature is important.

I'll check both of that tomorrow.
1. Didn't feel much difference between both Specs, but I didn't check it in detail..will do so tml
2. When I test drive again tml, will check whether got auto-lock (imho, didn't think it have..didn't hear the door locking when I drove)

Is there a button to unlock the boot on the remote control key?
If there is no auto lock, then what about auto unlock when the engine is switched off?

OMG! So many posts since my last read. Anyway I got a last minute invitation to the launching event which was at Mandarin Oriental. Nothing much basically, the half cut car is on display which shows the internal features. All colors are available there. At the end got a goodies bag which consists of Honda Keychain with flashlight, Honda card holder and full set of Honda City brochure. Anyway the car looks really better than real life and the radio doesn't look that bad actually.

1. Vibration sensor senses vibrations inside the car when a car thief attempts to break. It activates the alarm and immobiliser making  the car cannot start at all.
2. Waveblade key cannot be duplicated at your neighbourhood key shop thus making it safe even though you lose the key.  tongue.gif

why waveblade key cannot be duplicated? anyway if you lose the key later the person know is your car very safe ah rclxub.gif

There is nothing that cant be duplicated except DNA. Whether you got the right machine or not is another question.

Vibration sensor in a 90k car? I dont think so. Movement sensor? Most probably. Vios has this option from way back then. Lock myself in the car to sleep under the shade and suddenly alarm rang when I turn my body. LOL...

don't mean to critic this car.
but looking at it

exterior - the front look like a layered cake.
way too many layers...over size bumper.
Notice than most of the other carmakers are slowly having a same front identity - same front grill -- but Honda seems confused Civic is different from City. Accord, Stream, CRV, individual preference I guess..also they have more chances to facelift it 3 times b4 they produce a new model.

The behind of the car looks like someone smashed the lower part of the bumper. Curse of the big boot which reduces the overall wheelbase.

Once again, super high roof line =nissan latio?

on the looks from the side --> car looks like a truck super high ride, car just doesn't look stable bcos of the short wheelbase and long overhangs.
very high ride height - gap from tires to suspension seems like 4 x 4 .
wonder how bouncy the car will feel on uneven roads.

interior - same old soft plastics, gear stick looks like from an early 90's car --- > should have used the civic gear stick.
poor center fitting looks like taken from a half cut shop.

only thing nice is the meter cluster.
well at least better than the old city.

Just my opinion, don't mean to anger anyone .

cheers

Hi Guys,

Just want to know, let's say i go and buy number plate myself from JPJ, does that mean that the Sales office need to give me back RM50? RM50 is for physical number plate on the car or getting the number from JPJ?

Grade S
Car: RM82,272.50
Road tax: RM90
Reg. Fee: RM150
Number Plate: RM50 <----
Owbership Endorsement Fee: RM50
Insurance: RM2,367.50
Total: RM84,980.00
*
I registered and got my fav number last week cost RM210 in JPJ. I passed the receipt of number plate registration to SA for registering my car. However we did talked about the OTR price but it seems RM50 is still charged. So i will make a guess that RM50 is for the physical number plate.
Anyone got different thoughts?

However, I applied MBB loan 80k with 2.8% for 7 yrs.

Guys, I read a lots in forums and mostly go with V-kool, Rike Cool and 3M's Crystal Line 70. I personally haven't see 3M's quality before but already committed to put 3M CR70 on my new City. Estimate cost is RM2000-RM2200. Heard the SA said price is going up on January unless book the current price with with some minimal downpayment wo~ Any advise on this? btw, I'll be taking the 1st batch as well and I'm taking Crystal Black. Though all friends advice not to take black, which personally I like PMM which present "class", however, This city looks more sporty for me and I've decided to get black.
