What I can source from a website..
"It won’t be easy to spot imitation rims from real ones, but if you look closely at all of the joins you might be able to see either welding marks, cracks or creases. These are a sure sign that the wheels you have bought are not made by the original manufacturers using high quality materials."IMHO
1. Price
2. Weight
3. Certification (I have seen some Original rims that my friend bought from Japan which had some sort of certification which is imprinted (or had a sticker) on the rims itself.
Though I can't seem to tell whether the rims are made of 1 or 2 pieces. Not really a rim kinda person.
However if the Enkei rims are "original" from Taiwan, it should be of similar quality to that of Japan because they have to adhere to a certain standard. They might be cheaper due to cheap labour and materials. QC maybe slightly less 'cos it's not Japan, but overall should be rather similar in terms of manufacturing process..
thanks! such a good info. my dad's went back to h2o while i was driving back to pahang. he said he just fell in love with the enkei rim. in fact, he tried to match the rim with his 4th gen city. he snapped 1 picture and sent to me. OMG! it looked good. now i wonder how it will look like on my city then?
