I See. Maybe when you test drive again, you can let us know
At 110kph.. what the rpm is. It should be < 3k rpm

So in the Autocar Jan issue, HM said they will increase production to 1.5k per month? Cool. Did they say proportion E-Spec and S-Spec?
What was their production before this? 1k per month?
*
sure thing wink.gif see maybe somewhere next week cos have to finish up my annual leaves.

yup, jus did a quick browse thru trying to dig for more info of the city this afternoon. all i can remembered is increased to 1.5k per month but it didnt say how many previously though. couldnt manage to buy it because was with a friend in a rush.

Cool. thanks, bro. Will try go for a test drive myself if possible one of these days.
Problem is..usually don't have roads where I can go up to 110 kph to do the benchmarking.

Will try to find the mag in the news stand too, if I can.

QUOTE(yaliqiu @ Dec 27 2008, 09:29 PM)
actually i prefer PMM which easier maintain... my current car is black and look terrible dirty after rain...  doh.gif
PMM look nice on accord.. i wonder how it look on city..  hmm.gif
*
Yes, PMM is easier to maintain than Black, seriously.
I haven't wash my car for about 2 weeks because of frequent travel, and no problem, don't feel dirty at all.
The most important thing is birds don't drop their sh*ts on dark colour cars. This is what I like, unlike my light blue Accord. Damn...

QUOTE(hackinz @ Dec 27 2008, 10:23 PM)
I'm wondering PMM color will look like when apply to City. I've book the car & getting it by mid Jan before CNY so my agent promised me. Really looking forward to the day I drive it home.
*
It'll simply look elegant. Don't worry. You won't regret.

QUOTE(elru @ Dec 27 2008, 11:50 PM)
mmm i like the black city very much although kinda fed up with black color car (partly becos of the heat too). because my previous car everytime after washing it, sure some a$$ will come 'draw' some artistic curly lines with their key. so for my new black city, after polish + wax, most probably gonna leave it quite some time until very very dirty haha. my opinion, PMM is quite easy to maintain because its grey can camouflage the dust a bit, unless if put side by side with a clean PMM la laugh.gif

Looks like we've another Polished Metal Metallic fan here. Hehe...

hey mike. haven't seen you in awhile  icon_rolleyes.gif
What's the difference between the 3M and VKool? Well..at least for appearance wise? Color, Tint-color
*
Yeah been busy. tongue.gif
V-Kool seems to give a much greener color on the window while 3M gives slight grey a bit of the shinning effect. I think it suits the PMM and Black City well.

QUOTE(vez @ Dec 27 2008, 04:07 PM)
may i know how much it will cost? RM1.5k?
i am from Penang, no idea where can get good quality tint biggrin.gif
*
Around 1.5k to 2k, depending on your nego skill. tongue.gif

QUOTE(sharinganez @ Dec 27 2008, 08:32 PM)
can post the pic here?
cz im pg ppl..how to go damansara le?  blink.gif

btw.. my SA oso offer me ECOTINT wif 200 cash voucher
any1 familiar wif ECOTINT?
*
Sorry no pics on the City + 3M tint.
Regarding ECOTINT, yes I agree it is the better tints out there. Fighting in the market together with V-Kool, 3M and Illumar. For ECOTINT, try to go for Raybarrier. The Infrared Rejected (IR) rate is better than V-Kool.

Please, no matter what kind of tint you guys choose, just don't include V-Kool in your consideration list.

So far, I heard from user reviews are alright. Everyone seems like to compare V-Kool with other tints.

Try calling their head office and ask for any Penang dealers, maybe that could help:

3M Malaysia Sdn. Berhad (7251V)
Bangunan 3M,
6, Persiaran Tropicana,
47410 Petaling Jaya,
Selangor, Malaysia

Tel: 03-7806-2888
Fax: 03-7806-2902

After 5 years, my dad's car V-Kool changed colour. My new car's V-Kool auto peel off not even 1 month.
And lots more cases happened.

yea, heard the same too. vkool is metal base, so after some time, it will started to oxidize.... u'll get the picture. besides, having the same quality as vkool, 3M actually cost cheaper than vkool too. although its still the 2nd costly tint in the market.

Conclusion, V-Kool sucks.

Maybe you guys can try EcoTint. Our forummer - AmuroRay is selling it.
EcoTint Security Tint is a good bargain. Price is reasonable and longer warranty period than V-Kool.

How about the security alarm with City? Anybody consider to enforce the car security? Not sure if this car is going to be one of the car thief list but it would be pain in the a** if lose the car anytime soon while still paying loan.

I really got no idea on this tinting stuffs and I have not fixed in any of my previous cars too. My SA is offering
B-kool (not v) at around RM980 and it's a special price for me and he said for others it's 1200.
Any idea ...?

IMHO, I'll stay away from those "cheaper" type tint. in this case, B-Kool.. V-Good.. V-Cool.
I'll pay a little more for the more established brands, to be on the safe side.

I'll get the security film and those proper (RM200+) steering + gear-type lock as a deterrent. I don't wanna mess up the alarm system and other electrical stuff in the car.
