According to "new city excitement" catalogue, S-variant also comes with telescopic steering, this is a good news to s-spec buyers  rclxm9.gif

May I ask, where is this "new city excitement" catalogue you referring to?

You are correct.
The S-Spec's rear seats are Fixed, while the E-Spec's rear seats are foldable 60:40 and is reclining. It also has adjustable headrest.

Mike needs to do a bit of a switch-a-roo on that.  smile.gif
*
Ah I notice that. My bad, guys! icon_rolleyes.gif

Anyone knows how to organize a plant visit? Do I need know someone from the inside?

QUOTE(Steven2916 @ Dec 15 2008, 09:43 AM)
Oops! My mistake. Yes, it's G-CON. Toyota uses GOA. Got a bit confused there because both start with G. Thanks. Yes, now new City comes with ACE as well which previously is only available in the Civic, Accord, Stream, Odyssey and CRV. Now all Honda cars have G-CON and ACE.

For some 5k is a lot, while others are okie with it. However if you calculate, certain things you are unable to do anywhere else in workshops and accessories. So I think it is pretty worth it.
That is unless you talking about Modulo kits, which I think you will find it at almost every shop in Sunway within 3 months time.

So how much installment are you going to pay monthly and for how many years?
3.04% interest rate is very good. I live in Bukit Mertajam and I intend to buy new City from JM Motor Venture, the new Honda dealer in Bukit Mertajam next year.

1. Yes, seat and upholstery material for both specs are black but E spec has nicer material.
2. Dashboard for both specs are black.
3. E spec has rear seat under tray to put shoes and umbrella,
4. I am very sure there are no speakers  behind the rear seat for S and E spec and the tweeters for E spec are located at the A pillar (one at each A pillar). 4 speakers foor both specs with one each at each door panel.
5. I din't take anyu photos because all of you can view the car to your heart's content starting from today.
6. Nice colourful new Honda City booklet wil only be given out together with official price list starting from the official launching date this Thursday (18 December). SA has shown me the booklet but said he cannot give to me until 18 December.
7. I will test drive the new City this coming Saturday (20 December) and post a review of ther test drive on Sunday morning for the reading pleasure of all you Honda City fans in this forum.
8. You can download songs from the Internet into thumbdrive and link it to the supplied USB cable and play the songs on the advanced audio player which can play anything - radio, CD, iPOD, MP3, WMA whatever!
*
Thanks for your preview. I have added it on first page.

No news from my SA yet. sad.gif

QUOTE(sysh @ Dec 16 2008, 12:59 AM)
I see.. Alright. I'll swing by the showroom in the afternoon to check it out. Better go before 5:30pm. Maybe can even test drive.
If not, just decide on my Spec then test drive when I'm free smile.gif
*
Yeah better go before 5.30pm to avoid the "After Work" rush. I am sure that certain Honda dealers will close late on this Thursday.

thanks for clarify for the upholster issue. if just the looks, then i guess the seats are not that obvious in differences if they're not put side by side.

well, this time they did fixed the front portion of the car, looks more balance now. my only complain is the back is a little bit too tall and too short but its ok, looks like gen2. maybe a little longer back will make it even perfect.
*
Gen2 looks like it doesn't have any back. It is looks like an aeroback.

QUOTE(dororo @ Dec 16 2008, 12:25 PM)
you cant compare your civic 1.8 with new city 1.5
there is stil la difference such as soundproof,
i still remember the soundproof of city on the roof  =.= it is so bad until you can hear the "ting tong" sounds when rain water drops on the roof
*
I hope that Honda has improved the soundproofing of the new City.

paultan.org discuss about the new City being transported on trailers in Malaysia:

A new review from oneshift is added on first page, a recommend read!

S mode actually means "Sporty". When engaged in "S" you gear will change at a higher RPM providing more torque. On top of that, it is also a mode for you to activate Paddle Shift (manual).  rclxms.gif
Not sure about new City but in current Civic after 2007/8 batch, in D mode paddle shift will activate overdrive or (semi auto- up/down 1 gear)  thumbup.gif
*
That's impressive, just like those flappy pedal gearbox in Ferrari. laugh.gif
Anyway I realized there isn't any gear change indicator on the meter panel.

If i am right could be the rectangle near the fuel meter...(next to "E")?
*
Ah I totally missed it! I think that would be the display.

QUOTE(elru @ Dec 16 2008, 02:30 PM)
ya, its very impression but its also fuel guzzling at the same time. o well fuel is cheap now lol. i remembering the current city u just need to flip the paddle then its activate already, anytime when your driving. so the new one has to manually shift to gear S to activate it?

ya, now that u mentioned, wonder isit by the vehicle information display there. thanks for pointing it up.
*
The VID seems to only display how many km travelled and temperature. I think that small display on the right would be the one.

QUOTE(devinz @ Dec 17 2008, 10:41 AM)
I believe we shouldnt discuss about other ppl way of financing here.
I am sure those who commit, knows what they are doing and they are the one facing the impact later on. Not us. right?  whistling.gif
Whether or not how you and me manage our finances are different from individual to individual. Some believe, short term loan is better but the argument is, if you are also having a housing loan..would you throw the spare money you have to your car or house. For me, i would rather throw in my house as house loan is calculated progressively. Car loan, otherwise, once committed no matter how early you settle also you have to pay same amount.

Different ppl got different perspective in life. Some might want a stable journey till the end, in another chap he may wants to at least enjoy the moment, touch wood, none of us can be sure how long we can live.. right? At least the chap who take the risk, end of the day he can proudly say "I tried it" and he can go peacefully.  cool.gif
*
Totally agree with you devinz. At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal choices.
