QUOTE(patryn33 @ Feb 10 2010, 10:36 AM) Omega speedmaster, NASA requirement. Absolutely correct. Sapphire will break into tiny fragments when hit, that will endanger the astronauts in spaceship. Whereas hesalite or acrylic will only crack. Acrylic crystal still easy to polish off. mineral crystal not easy man.. it cost more $$ to replace too Normal toothpaste can use to polish the tiny scratches on hesalite/acrylic. Yes, that's true |

Mind tell me the procedure of using toothpaste to clean it?? Or just squeeze the paste and use a cloth to wipe it ? My Speedmaster has gone thru sometimes with me so there's loads of scratches Ya just squeeze little amount of toothpaste and use a clean smooth cloth slowly wipe in circular motion. That's what I did Show us some before and after pictures |

i was wondering where do you all change your watch battery? is there any difference if you change it in a established watch shop versus the normal shop (by this i mean any tom d*** and harry watch shop)? |

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Feb 10 2010, 09:30 AM) lol, somehow it just doesn't seem to make much sense to me. selling the watch with/without receipt does not dispel the fact that the actual physical unit has been sold (?). Bro, they just want to protect themselves from selling something below the control price. If they issue a receipt and it leaks out, it serves as an evidence for the company to take legal action against the AD....or maybe my reasoning is just messed up lah Deal with cash, they can give an extra few % discounts if you talk to them bout it This post has been edited by Jr.Koh: Feb 10 2010, 09:51 PM |

^he's right; in fact, 99.9% of the time, they won't even ask.
jr koh: the AD i went to before gace me 20+5. the salesperson who gave me those discount seems to have left whilst i was away. no idea where he is now, and no one seems to be able to give me discounts like that anymore. |

QUOTE(icehart85 @ Feb 11 2010, 09:48 AM) nobody seems to be replying? I change it with the usual shop I go to. If you're around PJ, pm me and I can recommend you In fact, they wanted me to get a new watch. I refused and went to another shop and they replaced it for me with no problems at all.
