I've heard of this region stuff when I was using Windows previously. It's something to do with the piracy thinggy..
So, if you choose for example Asia Region then the next time when you try to play a DVD which is from a US Region, the same problem will pop up. If we keep changing the regions (you are only allowed 5 times), then I guess by the 6th time, you will not be allowed to change anymore which means you can't really play.
I will try the VLC player as suggested by kwekeugene

i set mine to region 1 to cater for ori US dvds
those local region 3 dvds are mostly region free i guess, n pirated disc are definitely region free

if u buy macbook at mmu melaka it only costs rm 4599 for 2.0 ghz.can run 3 OS wooooo!!!

me too just bought my new alu mb few days ago... now still learning... 250GB seems not enough since mac osx apps mostly come in big size. Now 133GB left after install iWork, Office08, PS CS3, etc2.

there's windows live for mac. try google it. Or you could use adium, more features in it. To maximize it simply press the + button, if that doesnt work just drag it for full screen XD. Make sure you explore exposé and spaces. these two features are very useful.

Your wrong, you'll kill the battery very fast if you keep draining the battery. Always keep your charger plugged in at home. Use the battery only when needed.

yes, i simply meant if the battery is almost out then plug in the power. i didnt mention or suggested to not use the power cord and runs on battery at all time.

XD if you never set any password then no need to enter it. Just press OK. Mac will ask you password if you got change some sort of important configuration as well. Kinda like UAC in vista; but vista's = hundred more times annoying.

UAC in vista is sux...ask for everything.
