I just bought the MB yesterday..
I have a noob question..

I've tried playing a DVD but when I insert in the MB, it prompts me to select the region. And it also says that there you are only allowed to change the region for 5 times. What does it mean then? Is there a way to play the DVD without changing any region? or is there a region which is universal for all types of DVD?
By the way, the DVD I'm playing is an original DVD.

I've heard of this region stuff when I was using Windows previously. It's something to do with the piracy thinggy..
So, if you choose for example Asia Region then the next time when you try to play a DVD which is from a US Region, the same problem will pop up. If we keep changing the regions (you are only allowed 5 times), then I guess by the 6th time, you will not be allowed to change anymore which means you can't really play.
I will try the VLC player as suggested by kwekeugene

I've been using the MB for a week.. I should say that the thing that I love the most for the moment is the touchpad. I mean the multitouch.. for the 1st time, I would prefer the touchpad rather than an external mouse
anybody else agree?

I'm having the same thing...
I observed that when you have 100% charged MB then you switched it OFF and the following time when you switch it ON, the percentage will drop to 99% but the battery will not be charged to 100%. It will show that the battery is already charged.
At the moment, my indicator shows 96% and it shows that "Battery is charged".
I guess in order to charge it back to 100%, you will have to somehow drain the battery to a certain percentage first, then recharge the battery.

I was also having the same problem of how to max to fit the whole screen but I think you can't do that with Safari.. unless you manually maximize it..

No, it won't suck like the slot drive of a normal notebook.. for the MB, you will need to push the CD almost to the very end before it loads..

Guys.. I have a question..
Each time I burn DVD using the conventional drag & drop method, it will perform verification after completing the burning process. Is it possible to disable the verification process??

I just completed burning a DVD and it prompt me error after verification.. I cannot load the CD.. dunno what's wrong..

is torrenting much much slower in Mac then Windows?
I'm experiencing a very slow torrenting in Mac. I've done port forwarding but it's way too slow..

what speed are you getting on your Transmission?
I managed to get about 45kB/s on uTorrent.. but when I was on Windows, I could choke up to max of 150kB/s..

I'm always with the AC adapter when I'm using the MB. Unless I really need to use it out of my house..

20~40kB/s seems to be very slow.. I could easily get 100kB/s when I was using Windows..
not sure why problems with Mac OSX. Probably due to the firewall settings?

Anybody uses Temperature Monitor? Does it only show you the temperature? Does it meddle with the settings of the fans?

Regarding .rar or .zip files, is there a program to view the content before extracting?
In Windows, I use winrar to open the .rar files and select only the file I wanted to extract and then drag & drop on my desktop. Is there such a software in Mac which is capable of doing so?
