hey guys, just wondering because im going to SG end of March. Where should i buy Iphone 3g 16gb? I heard my frens saying better get it from SIm Lim Square. Price around SGD1000 for 16gb Singtel set without Singtel contract of course!. Why lowyat forumers are selling damn expensive? around RM2700-RM2800 for 16gb? Is it because of the warranty? Better to get from lowyat seller or buy from SG since im going there..

QUOTE(mdzamri @ Feb 11 2009, 11:03 PM) which shop in SG any reccomendation? bro i just got back from singapore, Sim Lim is not the best place to get ur iphone. most of them will con u on the spot. i was looking for the same one 16gb. the quoted SGD 950 but if u wanna fully unlocked you ave to add in +200-250 so tats like SGD 1150 + 7% GST = SGD 1230. if your taking the flight out then u'll get d GST refund. otherwise stuck withh that amount. at the end i haven't got any ipone only tons of SGDs right now

@Hearts No problem as the software unlock is already available but with a catch. If you update or 'accidentally' update the software, then you have to wait for the iPhone Dev Team to find the unlock again. If not, you'll be stuck with an iPod Touch instead.
So ... better opt for an officially unlock iPhone.

my friend is coming back NZ in march and he got me a white iphone 3g. from what i read in the forums, NZ sets are fully unlocked version so, it's should be very easy to activate my iphone. just a matter of inserting my celcom sim, open itunes and connect my iphone. is that right? anyone interested to get one? hehehe... i could ask my friend to get another 2 or so (provided can pass thru customs la) but of course must charge a bit extra for the effort lah... somemore the currency rate is quite favourable now.
