Hi nbee/maesus (or whoever using Dutty V3 XT)

I use HD Tweak (and also the regedit) to hide the SIM contact but when I reboot my HD, the SIM contact re-appear.
Do you encountered this?

Cheers....

congrats to those who have flashed to Dutty 3.0... now it's my turn.. i tried to open xda forum but fail.. i got msg "500 - Internal Server Error" .. maybe it has been blocked because i'm on office network (can anybody confirm?) ..

the question is do i need to install Microsoft DotNet Framework 3.5 on my XP pc  or the DotNet Compact Framework 3.5 for me to do the HSPL and everything?
*

It is mentioned in the note of HD Tweak that the option is reset when you reset your device.

OK< here's the registry tweak:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Phone
"ShowSim"=dword:0

check that after soft reset, does this registry revert back to "1"? If yes, then there's something in your StartUp apps that cause this.

Hi maesus,

Yes, I used the above method too and when I reboot, it reverted to "ShowSim"=dword:1

What cause it ?

You using Duttty V3 XT too right, do u encountered this problem?

Cheers....

Apparently, this is a common problem for those who have flashed Dutty v3.0. I don't have any contacts in my SIM, so I can't confirm.

Hi DrWho,

Oh ok, if it's common, then I just wait for his new release to solve this problem.
As for interim solution, I have to hide the SIM contact everytime I reboot.

Cheers,

Danny

Yeah one way (work around soulution) but I'm afraid I might corrupt my phone
contacts and I need the backup (but speaking of it, I can always backup to PIM backup)

Thanks.

try that registry tweak, then power off by holding the power button. Then turn on again and see.

I don't know what is causing the registry tweak to revert back to "1", it has to be one of the startup apps/services

Guys I have a question, does your SD card working after flashing 1.56 ROMS eg. Dutty's V3? there's a thread now in the XDA-DEV forums about SD card not working after flashing 1.56 ROMS and a lot of people are affected. There is still no solution for this.

I don't have a problem with mine. I yanked out my battery just before the first boot after the ROM flash.

Tried that, same result, well guess have to wait for next release and test again (without installing any 3rd party apps).

Thanks/

The SD card problem with Dutty... it seems like a sticky bit somewhere inside some apps or registry settings - the SD card is always set as "storage device HDD" rather than normal ActiveSync accessible Storage Card.

I don't have those problems you guys mentioned (SD card, contact vs SIM) with Dutty v3. The problem doesn't seem to be with the ROM, but something else. What apps do you guys install after hard-reset the new ROM?
