For those looking for a 'pro' mic like the Blue Yeti, Amazon got sale on it. I think part of the Black Friday sale, will see it below USD 90.

There's a thread in the hifi or overlock.net forum for headphone buying guide, google for it.

has anyone use this mic ? http://www.modmic.com/
it's a standalone mic, but it can be attach to your headphone. *a little bit pricey, bcos if you spend an RM300 headset without mic it would be waste of money for gaming headset with this mic you can use your audiophile headset while playing games, without messing your table with big mic like blue yeti. |

QUOTE(hexacyII @ Dec 1 2013, 02:29 PM) Plantronix Gamecom 780 was my first ever "Gaming" Headset, I was so hype because this item was imported from US, tried it on play 8 hours of BF3, it was awesome at first, nightmare happens after awhile. Tremble was way off the hook, hurt my ears, the clamping part are little too hard which cause me headache and I have to take it off every 30 minutes, the 7.1 virtual surround was a rip off, it's like adding a echo layer and that's it, and the worst part...the material that used for support the clamping part, the plastic grade was like So yeah, you get the picture. |

Noob question : Using earphone / headphone with NO stereo speakers , can you hear enemy footsteps ?
I'm thinking to get Steelseries Flux In-Ear non-pro , and comparing with Razer Hammerhead at versus.com , it says Flux has no stereo speakers compared to Hammerhead . This post has been edited by aimanace94: Dec 3 2013, 02:12 PM |

QUOTE(aimanace94 @ Dec 3 2013, 03:10 PM) Noob question : Using earphone / headphone with NO stereo speakers , can you hear enemy footsteps ? Weird, they said Siberia V2 doesn't have stereo speakers as well, but If your PC have a sound card like Xonar DG, you can switch to either headphone channel or stereo speakers, which probably why most of the people said that it's best to use the headphones with a sound card. Hope that answer your question.I'm thinking to get Steelseries Flux In-Ear non-pro , and comparing with Razer Hammerhead at versus.com , it says Flux has no stereo speakers compared to Hammerhead . Anyway, what type of games you play? |

Steelseries Flux In-Ear Pro user here . For music this earphone has excellent sound quality on highs and mids and acceptable , above-average bass (not as heavy as Razer Hammerhead)
For gaming sound is extremely crisp and you can hear every little sound compared to my older Razer Electra thanks to the balanced armature technology i think . but unfortunately the surround sound capability is there , but not so sharp so you have to be extremely focused to hear enemy footsteps . just my 2-cents This post has been edited by aimanace94: Dec 5 2013, 03:35 PM |
