Instead of getting a gaming headset that c/w 5.1/7.1 surround, i gotten myself the Sony MDR-1RMK2 instead. for gaming with the help of Razer surround, it works as it advertise on non-gaming headset
tho its more expansive than a cheaper headset which provide same/better audio performance, but the comfort-ability it provides is juz too good. i can actually wear for 3 hrs s8 under a normal day room temp with juz a table fan behind me (room xda ceiling fan).
lucky went to the recent PC fair and able to get it rm100 cheaper compare to sony RRP. btw, main usage is for music listening.

Razer surround won't be free anymore after new year unless ur willing to pay for it thank god i have my kraken 7.1, how's the bass on ur headsets anyways?

bass sucks/medicore coz its not for bass head. most suitable for classic/sentimental genre.
i gotten it coz gaming headset is mostly not suitable for music listening which is my priority. Comfort-ability is another priority. i can't wear my Siberia SS v1 for more than 1 hr, but not this.
learning on setting up a proper and not so expansive listening gear/setup
sad to hear that razer surround need to pay to use.

I didnt care much about the comfort..i usually use the headset for 1-2 hours a day and i want to know about the sound quality of the headset before choosing which to purchase.

No..even i got a mic i dont use it that often..so, i didnt really care about the mic

That model of AT is a closed back type, normally more bass and smaller soundstage.

For FPS gaming, not so good. But I have not heard it before, so I can't really say. Best is to look for reviews and see if its capable for gaming.
