Hi guys, I was looking for the best bang for the buck headset for gaming, but as many people here have said, gaming headsets are hardly worth it for their price when compared to their audio quality. So, after snooping around a bit, I found the Superlux HD681 EVO for RM 149. Now, I need a good standalone microphone to combo with it, but I haven't found much.. The Antlion ModMic and the Zalman ZM-Mic1 mics are quite expensive after counting shipping etc. And another mic a kind member in this thread suggested a few months ago (http://dx.com/p/mini-clip-on-microphone-7080) is cheap, but takes like 3 weeks to ship here.
That being said, sifus can please recco a good mic that's available immediately cuz I need to get in my gaming sessions before the end of the year haha! Otherwise, I'll just wait 3 weeks for the clip on microphone to ship over Q__Q

hey guys.. i am thinking to buy a Asus Orion Pro , price RM320 maybe. Is the headset performance worth to the price? I like the design of their headset, but dont know how is the performance will be. Accecpt any advice..
BTW my budget is RM200~350.

Hello need some recommendations.

I have around rm 200 to spend on this headset.

1) mic is a must
2) i wear spectacles, i don't want the headset to clamp too tightly
3) good quality of both mic and sound. (my previous headphone was monoprice 8323)
4) want an upgrade from monoprice 8323 in term of audio and +mic

Low budget cause i'm upgrading my mouse and mousepads at the same time

Currently on my list is logitech G430, roccat kave, turtle beach z6a and plantronics gamecom 780.

Why not use virtual surround on proper headphones to get even better sound quality instead?

There are plenty of USB virtual surround processors out there.
Asus Xonar U3, Asus Xonar U1, Asus Xonar U7, Creative Recon3D, Creative Soundblaster Omni, Astro Mixamp, TurtleBeach DSS, just to name a few.

need recommendation for a budget gaming headset, less than rm200. i am using rosewill rhts but it simply is too heavy for long time usage. after finish one movie the whole ear feels flattened and pain (wearing specs).

so any circumaural headsets with preferably detachable mic or foldable mic to recommend?

Logitech G230 is circumaural (over the ear) and wont be too heavy right? need user feedback on the quality..mari mari

The cushion is comfortable enough for long hours? How about the sound? Clear enough to enjoy the explosion in game n ppl talking in movies?
