Well I unsatisfactory with that speed because it should be 3.6Mbps but what I get is 1.4Mbps maximum...hehe currently I using vodafone easybox and it can only support maximum 1.8Mbps....yesterday while download my modem hang sweat.gif  sweat.gif

Well it is stated to be up to 3.6mbps but usually most users will achieve a maximum of about 1.8mbps. If you maintain UMTS/HSDPA, the only way for you to post is through the fast reply box?

Well for people on the move, the download speed is usually more important than upload not unless the user always upload data maybe like images etc.

Probably, still some users are having problems. Maybe the upgrade isn't completely done yet and will be done from area to area.

then i would hav to continue using wif my UM bb

i will delay signing up a new celcom line till all is fine wif cmbb

i actually like this UMbb but sometimes the speed is quite slow too but once i use this proxy the speed improves

i ady downloaded more than 5GB but my line is still not cap

finally UMbb only cost me rm68 for HSDPA speed thumbup.gif

May i answer some of your questions there  smile.gif

Why standalone modem?
The modem will generates heat when you use it. More heat emitted especially when you're downloading stuff  nod.gif
If you're using your mobile phone as modem, the heat produced due to continuous usage as modem might shorten your mobile phone lifespan  sweat.gif

Someone correct me if i'm wrong  notworthy.gif
*
i prefer to say no for this.. notworthy.gif
plus, using 3g mobile phone might give better signal since i'm using it & my housemate use huawei modem,he only got 1 bar,me got 3 on v3xx. of course it cant be translated directly to the speed due to some factor of congestion & etc. but if no congestion, for sure my speed will b better than him! thumbup.gif

you can use both, but connect via USB is preferrable.

No need to enter username and password. Just use the settings on the phone.

I just received a call from Celcom CS regarding my complaint. As usual, they said no problem found...
They never say anything about upgrade... Maybe upgrade is just an excuse (instead of saying some problem here and there).

Don't believe what Celcom told you. From that part, i ditch from celcom to digi even though digi offers low speed than celcom, but their CS is much better. biggrin.gif

The only thing I noticed recently is that the capping will start about 20-30 seconds after every connection. Last time was about 5-10 seconds. This measure will make people to register fast speed in speedtest.net. Making new or potential customers think that Celcom BB is fast. Very clever deception by Celcom.
