I've just paid on Friday using E-settlement.
The money has been debited from my bank account so I suppose its working fine.
Gonna double check on Monday just in case.
The interest rate is about 1.++% only I think.

Added on August 2, 2010, 10:04 pm

Yes, there really is a problem with their e-settlement. Paid but e-settlement showed that the transaction had failed.
However a quick email to them cleared things up so in the end, my outstanding has been settled although e-settlement says otherwise.

The interest rate got so low? I remember other broker repo interest also higher

You're right RM1.00 per RM1000 for STAMP DUTY

To be exact, for purchase of shares in Bursa Malaysia:

When you buy a shares say, 1000 shares at 1.10

your cost will be:

Rm 1,100 plus:

i) brokerage RM8.88 ( for Cimb click traders a/c, and 0.42% for itrade)
ii) Stamp duty of RM 1 for RM 1000 or part of ( if 1,000 up to 2000 it will be RM 2 ), so for this example Rm 1,100 will be charged RM 2, If the     purchase is bigger then the maximum Stamp Duty charged is RM200
iii) Clearing fees = 0.03% x 1,100 = RM 0.33

So your total cost = Rm 1,100 + 8.88 + 2 + 0.33

= RM 1,111.21 ( for Sell, just minus all these from the RM1,100)

Hope this helps  smile.gif

Guys, better check your CIMB itrade accounts.

I know someone who logged on to his CIMB itrade account today, and was instead logged in to someone else's account. The username displayed was correct, but the owner name and the CDS/trading account numbers were all different. Even the watchlist, portfolio etc were not his but instead someone else's.

wtf is going on with CIMB? This is a huge security issue, as someone could accidentally login to my account and sell everything or buy up stocks using the cash in the trading account.

Didnt take printscreen, but he got the CDS #, trading account # and name of the person whose account was accidentally logged in to.

Weird thing was, at the top of the screen, the username showed correctly, but the account is totally different. Called up remisier, then got a callback from some guy form N2N, but seems like they can't figure out the issue. Logged out and in again, everything went back to normal

Demanded letter from cimb / N2N explaining what's going on. Looks like it's some stupid random problem that happens extremely rarely, but this sort of thing shouldn't happen at all.

Don't think this is a widespread problem la.. first time seeing it. But if this can happen even once in a million logins, it can happen again, and who knows what might happen the next time.

Jinxxx:
I'm not sure if CIMB itrade requests for the password before each purchase because I use HLebroking. If they have, then the problem isnt that big because people who accidentally login into other accounts wont be able to make transactions or change the password without the other person's password. But still, there's a ton of private information that's available ie stocks and value of portfolio, address, username, cds/trading account information, payment history etc..

Is Rm 1 for Rm 1000 as shown in the example

Didn't get you on the expensive issue, your cost of trading only Rm 8.88 + 2 + 0.33 = RM 11.21 for trade with itrade

If call remisier to buy it will be RM 40 for brokerage not RM 8.88, the rest of the fees are the same ie RM 2 + Rm 0.33

Hope you get it

Dude, see here for KLSE: Transaction Cost.

Anyone else facing sudden disconnection with CIMB ITrade? Suddenly got this message "System detected you have logged in elsewhere" or something like that, and logged me out. Had to re-login again which is kinda irritating especially I'm tracking a couple of stocks closely.
Not very frequent, roughly once per day. Seems to trigger when I try to check my portfolio, or checked for matched trades, or something related to my account.

I think there's a timeout timer. Probably built in as an added security feature but extremely annoying especially when you're seeing a buying opportunity flashing in front of your eyes.

。May I know for the account 8.88 clicks traders is consider nominee account or direct account?

。When can I register for eDividend and will I incur any charges for registration?
To register for eDividend, you must provide your bank account information to your stockbroker by filling up the relevant form. Registration will commence on 19 April 2010 and you will have a grace period of one year, until 18 April 2011 to register. After that period has lapsed, an administrative fee will be charged for eDividend registration.

All issuers who announce a book closing date for dividend entitlements from 1 September 2010 onwards are required to pay dividends via eDividend to their shareholders.

May I know for the clicks traders account need to register for eDIVIDEND to save the dividend chargers by cimb?

nominee account no need to register for eDividend if not mistaken. It will automatically be credited into ur account. As for AGM you can call and asked them to put your name inside the list though not sure if cimb allows this.
