It will not immediately appear the same day u transfer money thru e-deposit. at least 1 working day is needed. If u have sufficient fund in your trading account n u have any T3 due no need for you to do anything, even if it appears due. itrade will do the settlement themselves.

Most important u remember how much money u have in your trading account and trade accordingly.
*
If I'm not mistaken, if you transfer the money during business hours the funds should be credited on the same day itself.

Guys. Does Itrade@CIMB provide any software client for us to install in our own PC. I really don't like to use web-based trading system due to Java program problem. Thanks.
*
I don't think there is one though.

I would like to asking IF Itrade@CIMB can provide me a CD for program installer install in my PC without using web-based. Bursa Malaysia have that kind of programme but only trial on 14 days. Anybody can help me ask them?  icon_question.gif

That's odd. I don't seem to have that problem.
Try getting the latest version of Java. Maybe that will solve the problem.
Alternatively you could drop them an email.

Hi, i have 2 questions here.

I am using CIMB i-trade.

1) If i want to transfer the credit back to my CIMB saving account, fill in the form is the only way i can do? Where can i get the form? Is it in any CIMB bank?
2) i-trade account also got interest, right? How much is the interest rate? How is the interest to be given? Straight add into the credit in i-trade?

Thanks.
*
1) email them and tell them to bank in the money into your bank account
personally i just give them my bank account no and instruct them to credit the proceeds into my acc

2) i think the interest is about 2% (no official figures though)
interest is credited into your trust acc

By email can instruct them credit the trust account's balance to bank account?
Just simply write a email or need to fill up the form manually and scan into email?
Can you provide the email address?

thanks
*
Yup.
No scanning required.
I just send them a simple email at itrade@cimb.com

eg:
QUOTE
Hi,

Please credit my bank account/trust account stated below for the sale of xxx due on xxx.

Otherwise they'll prepare a cheque for you on T+3 by default which you then have to collect at their office.

I've asked before if its possible to have a standing instruction, i.e. to credit the money into the trust account every time I sell my shares but they said no. sad.gif

Maybe someone else can shed more light on this matter.

No problem. Just let us know if it works. smile.gif

je2305, what you need in the long term is a reliable trading platform and low brokerage rates as well as good customer service.
Don't be quick to judge a company based on how long it takes to open a CDS account. (Unless of course they take a very long time to open it, then you should be consider other companies) tongue.gif

Not sure, maybe old platform will be removed. ItradePro promotion now running. RM168 per month.
*
That can't be right. If they're going to force us to cough up RM168 per month then we might as well just switch brokers who don't charge for using their platform.

I called CS today and they said that:

1. i*tradePro is a software based training platform. You're paying for the licence to use all the fancy features.

2. i*trade is the web-based trading platform and it'll not be obsolete.
*
They should just give all of us 1 month of free usage for itradepro so that we can decide whether or not its worth subscribe to or at least a 1 week trial.

All it says is that it gives you access to extra charts.

Wonder if it has options to set stop loss order? hmm.gif

E-Deposit also got problem! What's wrong with them lately, even Cimb Clicks was down last night.. doh.gif  rclxub.gif

If not mistaken the interests is 2.25/2.5%, lupa.. tongue.gif

I've just paid on Friday using E-settlement.
The money has been debited from my bank account so I suppose its working fine.
Gonna double check on Monday just in case.

The interest rate is about 1.++% only I think.

Added on August 2, 2010, 10:04 pm

Yes, there really is a problem with their e-settlement. Paid but e-settlement showed that the transaction had failed.
However a quick email to them cleared things up so in the end, my outstanding has been settled although e-settlement says otherwise.

I think there's a timeout timer. Probably built in as an added security feature but extremely annoying especially when you're seeing a buying opportunity flashing in front of your eyes.

Is anyone else facing the same problem?
