QUOTE(marikoken @ May 5 2020, 08:48 AM) What platform do you use for data? Any recommendations? I am using TradingView as my main platform. For retail trader in MY, too bad not many choices available from Brokers as the market are dominated by two vendors, good or bad u hv to take it , its free But no worry, another platform coming soon from the Dark Site

Im currently using Rakuten but the platform is fkn slow lately because of punter and goreng uncles&aunties. Wish to change to a new broker. My main reason for staying with Rakuten is due to the cheap fees as my trades are mostly well below RM1k so every sen of cost would mean a lot to me... Is CIMB that much worth it compared to Rakuten? and what additional features that I get with CIMB that Rakuten doesn't offer? Thanks for the help and suggestions

Maybe my broker is not based in Malaysia.

Thanks for the help and suggestions If you are looking for cheap fees, there is nothing to compare between rakuten and cimb itrade. Both the platforms are different in nature - rakuten being a nominee account. Please read up the differences and make your own decision if the little bit of extra fees is worth it. Otherwise, call your broker and ask, if you can do a cash up front account and reduce the fees. Same as cimb trade beyond and a few more... they are nominee account... and, look at the settlement days allowed when you register a new brokerage.
