i see, i thought if use malaysia platform then no need to have the 30% withholding of the dividend. then have to find way to manually claim it back
*
I'm not sure but I couldn't see a way to get back the 30% WHT for dividend received.
Maybe my broker is not based in Malaysia.

Hey guys I have another noob question but how do I check how much I’ve deposited into my CGS account?
*
Check under Client Summary>Trust

If you used eDepost feature, there should be some records under " Summary Of Client's Deposit".

Hi Sifu,

Sorry for my noob question. I already have CDS account with Malacca Securities. However now I would like to trade in NYSE as well. Can I open open another account with CGS-CIMB in order to trade in NYSE?

Read the FAQ in Bursa Malaysia website stated that individual can only have 1 CDS account  hmm.gif
*
Your CDS account with Malacca Securities is very likely a nominee CDS account.
Please confirm with Malacca Securities.

If it's a nominee CDS account, you can open another trading account with CGS-CIMB.

As for the Bursa Malayisa FAQ, I think that clause should be referring to direct (personal) CDS account under your name.

Thanks bro you're a lifesaver. If I buy something that can be settled by the Trust account it'll automatically settle for me on T+2 right? No need to manually perform eSettlement or something?

If you have enough balance in the Trust, then yes.
