QUOTE(cenkudu @ Jan 7 2009, 04:08 PM)
just got annoying call from MBF. I've cancelled the card few days ago. They insist  me to keep the card and mention that I can't cancel because I have paid the renewal fee before. She said there is no way for me to cancel the card. They want to send new card to my home until I scold her that I will ask BNM whether I can cancel or not the card.

They offer me 2 cash vouchers if I  keep the card until another 8 months. but I'm not happy with MBF so I will not take anything.
*
Just ignore all this cheap tactics by MBF. I too got conned before by MBF and they tell me that it is very difficult to apply for MBF card and once cancel very hard to apply again. I grew out of these tricks these days. If any bank does this to me, the more my urge to cancel the card. cool2.gif

If I'm not mistaken ... it is using your cc to transfer money to another party (within UOB and another cc holder) who is located in Singapore I think. Can't remember whether it applies to another user within Malaysia as well.

yes..I'm not understand why they have to cheat customer. can't cancel juz because we already paid the annual fees? I'm not asking for refund so why they need to cheat saying that by paying the fees I obliged to stay with them.

Anyway, for does holding HSBC amanah card. what does it means by monthly Management charge of RM 2700?

Just leave them be lah. Perhaps if they lose enough customers then they will sort themselves out.

What's your question on HSBC Amanah card ? And a monthly fee of RM2700 ????? Please reconfirm bro

management charge = interest.

as HSBC Amanah the name suggest, it's an ISLAMIC BANK. so they can not directly use percentage of interest to times our outstanding balance and others.

so based on my understanding, 2700 is the standard rate of management charge used to times the percentage (%) of our outstanding balance.

ie. 18% P.A. outstanding balance Rm1000.

(2700 x 18%/12 months) = RM40.50. wait, are im doing the correct calculation?? it's bloody high!

if use conventional way,

interest is (RM1,000 x 18%/12 month )= RM15.

really need to investigate deeply b4 i got my card!!!

btw, today i received a SMS from Citibank, it's stated im just purchased airline tickets online using Citibank card. i was so shock, and with immediately i called back n found out!

the CS told me that, my number (which im used for almost 8 years) previous owner is also Citibank customer! tht's why im getting the SMS...

bloody hell... stupid bank!

I saw most cc, the minimum annual salary is RM30k. If I only earn RM1.5k per month (annual salary is RM18k), means I have no chance to apply ?
