CIMB C/C Payment methods:

1. Traditional: Over the counter

2. Cash Deposit Machine - just key in ur C/C number and put in the moolah

3. ATM - insert your ATM card, choose ATM Card Related Option, Credit Card option, fund transfer - smth like that

4. CIMBClicks - you will need to apply for your C/C pin if you do not have. Then use it to get epin at ATM and do a first time login to Clicks. You can pay after you login.

Of all, I only use Clicks to pay for the sake of convenience. CIMB C/C does not come with PN as a default. You will need to apply for it.

20 days interest-free for retail transactions is from statement date.

Following your example:

Statement date: 25 Dec
Purchase date: 1 Jan

Assuming new account or no carry-forward balance, 20 days interest-free is counted starting from 20 Jan. 20 days should be 9 Feb. If you fully settle before or on 9 Feb, no interest is charged. If you pay late or do not pay full, interest is charged from 25 Dec onwards.

Let's say you pay half on 9 Feb and carry forward half. Interest is charged until full settlement before next statement date 25 Feb. If you do not fully settle on or before 25 Feb, interest is charged again on the carry forward balance (plus the interest charged from the period 1 Jan till 25 Feb). This interest (second cycle from purchase date) is charged for the period 25 Feb until 10 Mar, even if you pay full before 10 Mar.

The above cycle repeats itself until full payment.

Credit cards are first in first out, however due to the way interest is compounded, it's far better not to buy more things than your income. If you do buy more things than your income, credit card debts should be considered highest repayment priority.

Thank you so much !! This explain very details notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Its very complicated on the calculation. My interest rate is not that high, but I just want to understand the overall calculation to avoid if there is mistake.
I look back at my statement and keep counting yet still can't get the correct figures...

Guess my maths is bad or my brain stucked lol

When they (PBB) last rejected your application? I don't know if it matters. I thought only that banks will not reconsider the application (re-review) until after 6 months from previous of application. I have read it somewhere but could not remember where (will try to find the link).

Most banks in Malaysia these days offer combined limit cards and UOB is one of them. If you read your card mailer properly, you'll see that it's combined limit. The statement makes the limit type a lot clearer if you didn't read your card mailer properly.

If you are getting rebates on your One card, odds are you wouldn't be getting any points too for the same purchases. In my experience, UOB has one of the best cust service around, call them at night if you don't want to wait on hold and they can clarify better than any of us can.

Hi GHz,
Wish u good luck ya....

I applied before, submited whatever documents they want(salary slip,EPF statement, bank statement, etc), my annual income is more than enough to qualify, no outstanding balance or late payment ever, holding other bank plat cards for few years with good record(higher requirement to apply if compare with PBB).

But at last, they still rejected my application. rclxub.gif

Although I checked with BNM, my credit report stated no problem, but they still hav rights to denied issuing u the card(s). mad.gif

The only reason they denied might b i hold too many cards. But they refuse to disclose the reason bcoz it is against their bank rules.

This affected my collection...... doh.gif
