Actually the European stores do get the Black Friday/Thanksgiving sale. Asian stores get the one day shopping event closer towards Chinese New Year.

Well it happened earlier this year (Red Wednesday Sale - 14th Jan 2009). It might or might not happen again for the upcoming CNY. But seriously, the sale amount is so insignificant if you know how to shop around you'd get way better prices all year round.

i don't know if mine is an isolated case but my new macbook has just arrived and until now they have not contacted me to verify my educational status. when i spoke to them on the hotline they told me that they will contact me by email and then i will have to send them a copy of my staff card. anyways just enjoying my new laptop now

yeah, this is the sale I've been waiting for since yr 2008 after the new released 1st Gen Alu MBP that cost rm7299...( if im not mistaken)
But way disappointed due to promo only valid for Alu Macbook...go the stories goes on till july finally WWDC releases a few new lines of Mac's

i ordered a CTO macbook last week, and now on my shipping status, the item had been delivered to Japan and it has been received by some one in tokyo?!

and now i can't even just get through to the freaking hotline, just listening to songs only, anyone have their direct line? i'm kinda pissed though.

if its really my mb in tokyo, i'm so gonna screw apple nicely cuz this mac is supposed to be for christmas.

guys, i planned to buy an imac or macbook pro within these few weeks from apple store malaysia using student discount price.just got few questions here.
a) is it save to put an adress of a hospital that im working rite now?i had once been conned when i paid for my ipod nano.well, it was 3 years back but the courier service did not take reponsible at all for the lost (...long story short, they actually send me the empty box with no ipod inside). just scared same thing will happen again.
b) im going to use my cimb cc as a mode of payment. so i just need some feedback@advice about monthly payment.is it worth it to pay of at least a minimal amount (..say 500 per month). im just concerned about the interest of the cc.never had i a debt on a credit card before, but rm6k seems like just too big of an ammount if i wanna pay everything @ one shot.sorry tho if i deviate so far away from the main topic of this thread.cc question seems like more of a finance thing than apple. just reckon for some 2cents from anyone of u tho...
