QUOTE(hapa @ Nov 11 2008, 03:49 PM) Good thing that you brought this up...Read and compare the T&C for the three countries below: Malaysia online store: T&C - Malaysia Singapore online store: T&C - Singapore Australia online store: T&C - Australia Section #14 (Your right to return the products) which is available on both Singaporean & Australian stores IS NOT available/applicable under the T&C of the Malaysian store. So basically, you don't have a right to return the product. Only DOAs are eligible for replacements/service. This post has been edited by lailaikatong: Nov 11 2008, 03:55 PM |

Do take note everyone that the times quoted are shipping estimates, not delivery estimates. Just saying this to prevent future rants about products not being delivered on time. For products that have a shipping estimate of 1-2 business days, expecting delivery within 3-5 days would be more reasonable. Might be even later.
The Msia, Indo, Phil, Thai & Vietnam stores launched today are based in Singapore, operated by Apple South Asia Pte Ltd. With that being said, it is still unclear whether Apple has warehouse facilities in each country, or whether the items will be shipped out from their facility in Singapore. To those who are ordering online, do share with us the tracking progress. With CTOs/engraved iPods, it would be interesting to see whether the items get shipped from China direct to Msia, or China>Singapore>Malaysia. I was thinking of ordering something just for the sake of getting the T-shirt, but I don't need another iPod/Mac for now. Plus I'm not in Msia at the moment, and I could get the stuff at cheaper prices anyway. So no ordering by me... YET Despite the fact that the Malaysian store does not have friendly return policies, it's good to know that they do offer price protection if the prices of the items purchased happen to drop (This is under T&C 9.2). Re: Edu discounts, usually no proof of identification is required. This doesn't mean anyone and everyone should abuse it. |

QUOTE(LeonTan @ Nov 11 2008, 11:22 PM) Well that's quite reasonable. Can't expect them to not charge shipping if say someone purchases a mini-dvi>dvi adapter or something. Margins on sub-RM250 items would be too low to cover the cost of postage.QUOTE(Balok @ Nov 11 2008, 11:22 PM) My friend got a problem la. -.- Call the customer service line and find out your friend's options. Usually they're quite reasonable about allowing someone to register within 1 or 2 weeks of expiry, and would adjust the warranty coverage accordingly. Your friend placed the order before the 1st year expiry, so he has a case to argue if they refuse. Next time don't push ACPP til the last minute lah He want to buy ACPP for his Macbook which ends at 14 Nov, but the ACPP delivered at 17 - 20 Nov. what to do huh? can hurry the delivery or can we extend the time? |

QUOTE(accs_centre @ Nov 12 2008, 08:53 AM) You're causing a bit of confusion. You quoted the T&C of the Singaporean store, which is not the same as the T&C of the Malaysian store. Malaysian T&C can be read here. The section regarding rights to return products has been removed. |

Interested to see what the prices are like... The black friday sales (in Australia) weren't that significant, resellers could easily match the price. Only thing is resellers here don't do price matching.
Might pre-order iLife 09 if there's a discount on the day. |

"Qualifying Apple systems must be purchased from Apple or an Apple Authorised Reseller located in Malaysia." |

I'd like to be proven wrong but there won't be any such thing as free 4GB ram...
Realistically we could expect discounts to make prices closer to education pricing.. |

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Nov 23 2009, 05:43 PM) You guys should learn about the origin of Black Friday before posting about Black Friday sales not available in Europe or Asia... Actually the European stores do get the Black Friday/Thanksgiving sale. Asian stores get the one day shopping event closer towards Chinese New Year.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping) |

QUOTE(shdwkillr @ Nov 28 2009, 09:22 AM) Well it happened earlier this year (Red Wednesday Sale - 14th Jan 2009). It might or might not happen again for the upcoming CNY. But seriously, the sale amount is so insignificant if you know how to shop around you'd get way better prices all year round. |

Ordered an i7/2TB iMac on 4th Jan, at that time the estimated shipment date was 18th Jan... Just got a shipment notification in the e-mail today, iMac is already out of the factory! Expected deilvery date is 15th Jan... about 1 1/2 weeks earlier than initial estimates... I'm excited
So yeah, I'm happy purchasing from the online store. It's great & fast if you know what you want/need. Credit card transaction went fine as well, didn't need to fax any card statements or anything. |
