After 6 months maybe another new model for WDTV II

That time price will be very cheap for WDTV

Would be nice if next generation WDTV can put one harddisk internally, look more neat, without messy cables.

Maybe yes, maybe no. With a HDD in it, it will be surely not in those psychologically cheap price range. Consumers might look at other alternative. I believe majority of us already has a HDD. An updated firmware to rectify some juddering issue related to 'certain hi-def format' would be nice blush.gif

What is your dts problem?

I just receive my unit on New Year from Thundermatch, after waiting 2 weeks.

After flash with new firmware, the units work perfectly well except .TS formats. Some of my .TS works perfectly with DTS MA HD, but other cannot play.

Tried out MKV files with AAC,AC3,DTS5.1,DD5.1 with no sound quality problem.

A great unit to have, hopefully it can play RMVB in future. rclxm9.gif

I asked them the price already.

Thundermatch will sell RM399 but out of stock (1Jan09 info).

Hope this helps.

It's not the lcd tv or plasma tv issue. It is related to the limitation with the player itself.

Yep me too. Dun like the idea of all the messy cables. Should have a slot for putting in optional internal HDD...+ network port.
