whats the main different of FMG set or Singapore set ?/
*
the set itself is no different between each other
but only the set colour is different

the main different is about warranty
FMG set, u can just go to any Samsung/FMG SC to repair or update the rom
while SG set, you have to go to SG to claim the warranty

Now, i suspect my 'ol plain tv as the culprit..

heheh to avoid embarassment of can't make the tv-out works.. biggrin.gif

but seriously, i believe everything has been put in place, the cable, the AV channel, th eTV-out viewer..could it be the cable? hmm.gif

but i got it from the samsung PJ rclxub.gif

Added on February 20, 2009, 3:24 pmOk omnians,

a question, what is your wishlist for omnia that you hope to get from the next official fw? ( i said official one not the plenty-of-new-thing in the cooked one)

1. I wish they let us use the front camera in self-potrait mode..seriously it's a big let down to not having it..i believe fw upgrade should rectify it

2. do something so any voice command program will work with the bluetooth headset

3. fully customized widget..meaning to say not simply what the official samsung that offered, but any third party icon should be included as well

4. nicer UI like what the spb has to offer

anyone wish to add?

an uh..in terms of hardware/accessories, i hope samsung come up with more customise item on omnia..right now everything is shared with other model..and i hope samsung can provide a much better cable, like a 3-in-1 cable for sync, tv-out and charge

My TV Out worked fine. I used PAL as my setting. Perhaps it is your TV set that is the problem. Did you switch to the channel that the cables were connected to. i.e. AV.

You should see your omnia screen on the TV.

Want ask about OMNIA ROm storage.
my storage was 86.70MB and 96.70MB for program
Does any one of you tired the method of hard reset and plug out battery make the storage become 100MB++?

Is it working? any risk?
Thanks very much

i am not meanning of flash. how much is your Ori ROm storage memory?
ot was vary depend on country and service provider

PS: TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK< O ALSO HAVEN"T TRY YET, But got others forumer tried.

what I get from others forum:
QUOTE

as usaul i translate it into:
QUOTE
1. go to:
settings>systems> hard format > restore factory setting

2. When screen prompt up to soft reset, within 3 seconds. Remove the battery immediately.
this will kill all the third party software in your omnia ROM. and it will increase the space to more than 100MB.

(ps: i had cut some of the chinese word)

3. delete windows/ rings. mpre space release

bro, what you mean by "i am not meanning of flash."? do you mean that you want to increase to 100+MB without flashing rom?

different rom have different storage memory & programme memory.
i'm using custom rom now (Taril's IA2), total memory as below:-
Storage :: 110.94MB
programme :: 96.55MB

is this what you mean by 100+MB?

but i really dun think the hard reset + remove battery is a safer way to increase the size comparing to flashing roms.. i think flashing rom is much safer n more "guaranteed"...

Added on February 21, 2009, 12:44 amBut i did some 'googling'... if you wanna use the method you mentioned. during the 3seconds countdown, it is safer for you to push the softreset button than take out the battery. same effect, stop the installation of "extrom"... good luck n all the best..

should be.. coz after alligning screen, it will install all the "bundled softwares" lorr.. that is something like, to "quit" the softwares installation steps.. macam org flash clean, stripd rom lorr.. no software, just the OS.
