what is a recommend resolution for 24 inch lcd? last time own a 22 lcd, after set as 1680*1050, i feel the font so small, then i set it at 1440*900. feel happy wit 1440*900. can i lower down the resolution and let my graphic card support 24 inch lcd?

is thundermatch at low yot plaza ?

Added on November 19, 2008, 10:31 pm

good point.. i think i'll just go with the normal 22" instead of a full hd one bcause of my GC..
my msi 9600gt will surely handle a 22" monitor with 1680 x 1050 reso. right guys..?
i won't upgrade the GC any soon.. no more money maa..

the reason is i would like to be playing games and watching 700mb dvdrip movies on the new monitor..

so this is the final choice i think.. the samsung 2233BW.. is it ok guys..?
or there are other choices better than this one..?
22" with 1680 x 1050 that is..
*
do i have other better choices..?

thundermatch at lowyat plaza.

You can stick 22 inch monitor for a while, and once you got a better budget, you can upgrade to 24 inch and change to better GC

The font should look smaller as compared to a 22" on native res.

With a 7600GT, you won't be running games on it thats for sure. Otherwise, I dont see any issues with it running a 24".

After a few weeks using 22", I think anything bigger than 1680 X 1050 will give smaller images.

When doing my graphic work, previously, I always work in Actual Size to see the exact image size on screen.

Because common monitor screen size still use 1024 X 768 resolution, most of my images work are less than that. Specially for small bar and button which have less than 50 X 50 size, even in 1680 X 1050 resolution the images are small.

So, from this experience, although I never have the opportunity to see HD monitor with my own eyes, I believe it will produce smaller images when in Actual Size view. But I believe other than that, HD is good for movies and games.

At lowyat, not so sure about the exact price, so do when PC fair will be held. Here at Kuching, local pc fair will be held 5-7 Dec 08. Same location, Permata Car Park, Kuching, if you are staying here. tongue.gif
