below RM 100 soundcard only give very less improvement 4 ur speaker.. let set the budget RM 200 secondhand can find Asus Dx lor

I'm just using Asus Xonar U1, rm200, it's external, and so is the nismo one, what's your budget for the sound card 1st..??

i rather spend the rm60 to eat or keep it for higher-end sound card, rm60 makes small difference compared with on-board.

my budget, anything <rm100, I dont mind 2nd hand, I think there should be no problem to get a good 2nd hand soundcard <rm100 is it? for eg. Creative Soundblaster Live! Soundcard, is this a good sound card?

because I never buy any sound card before, and not sure how many % of the SQ able to improve by changing sound card...... so test test dulu lar

i was like you before. the thing is, u cannot really tell the difference if u compare onboard and cheap soundcard straight. even so my x-fi 5.1 usb.
but i guess, what other said, below 100 is a waste. at least get a xonar or x-fi.

but, as time flies, i tweak here and there, when i listen back to my onboard, it sounds crap. so the best is not to compare side-by-side, but to use it for prolonged time, then u listen to onboard. anyway, beside soundcard, i also tweak my wmp11, otherwise cant really boost the performance.

srs audio sandbox = no-no
dfx sound enhancer = no-no
ffdshow audio decoder = resample & lfe crossover.
x-fi bass boost= yes, @40hz

Best way to enchance ur speaker SQ, is to get decent sound card.

Was planning to get an Asus U1 in here for testing but sadly no stock for now

get a soundcard definitely wil improve the SQ especially the Bass of M3300..

Today I just opened up my S2000 speaker to find out that a capasitor on the xover is bloated. Maybe I should change all of them. Sad

Currently am using Audiotrak Prodigy 7.1 HiFi with my Edifier S530D. Using Foobar to listening to music with ASIO plugin. Superb sound. Really satisfy with my set.

Is my C3 SQ will improve lot if i use SC such as Prodigy HD2 or DAC?

It's for sure, although i only change to u1, i can feel that my bass has improve a lot, more powerful.

personally i dont think it will improve a lot for C3, coz C3 easily reach its limit before the a good soundcard/DAC can show its true potential.
but anywhere, there still some improvement, my C2 also have some improve using a DAC + tube preamp, and it already reach its limit, time for me to upgrade

May i ask some simple question?

MP300 Drain power from where? laptop via USB? or plug? or both can?

cannot. it only uses 12V DC adaptor.
if u want to make it reallt portable, create diy battery pack, about 3000mah with rating of 12v. i got try once but drain too fast because of high current consumption (1.3A)

I am currently using C3 + U1. For me, the SQ do improve significantly as well as the bass performance. With proper tuned eq, i think the sound will be quite decent. I am still tune a suitable eq to match with my taste.

will this coming PC fair can get S750?..... anyone?

I don't think it's available in M'sia yet.
