now playing old S2.1D with moded sat drivers to play high SPL
it has a special reverb sound on vocal, probably wood material lol
but instruments seperation not as good as my CS21
anyway digital rules gonna install it in TV room with DVD player

Some help needed on edifier selection. There are so many that its confusing. I want a simple 2 or 3 channel system for my TV. Not going after theater system, just want a simple system for my TV box so I can enjoy clarity over the TV speaker. Other than that will listen to astro radio and some music, mainly vocal and pop.

Only criteria from my end is the Woofer box is wood and have at least 3 input (for my TV movie, MP3, and, and games perhaps). Budget is less than 500.

i suggest R501 for your 3-input criteria. its a 5.1 but u can use it as 2.1, just unplug the extra input cable and extra satellite. for 400 its a very good machine.

previously looking for logitech z2300 but getting bad comments about it ... stick to Edifier == , erm can said I am m3300 user because I listen to sister m3300 if she wasnt using ...bought a Xonar U1 external USB card ?( using laptop )recently.

only C3 and S330 is within my price range , Rm500 , which is the maximum budget , but I heard C3 wasnt good enough ?

1) M3300 clarity is my minimum requirement of clarity if I want a speaker , either the clarity same as m3300 or better than it ...in term of clarity , C3 or S330 ?

2) in term of bass , I need a bass better than m3300 , the bass is TOO SOFT , muddy ~~~~ C3 or S330 ? make your choice and explain bass difference of your choice compare to M3300.

3) now I already got Xonar U1 soundcard which has build amps in , can use with C3 amps == ?? really no idea

still cant decide after survey for few days , hope this thread can help me ... will get on this end of month

Z23 over emphasize on the sub, best to play boom boom boom in big room
so your next target must be upgrade better than M33, the design itself contribute a lot

sats are tilted facing upward --the key of M33 to good clarity
while sub is side-firing slim box (push little air) +lightweight (box vibrate itself) =muddy --avoid this

C3 sats are great! sounded very wide but cannot go loud
S330 got fancy phase plug tweeter +big dustcap, still a 2.5" mid-driver where C3 mid-driver perform better

of course Xonar U1 can be used with powered speakers, lower down U1 vol & raise spkr vol if you hear distortion.

today went for searching altec speakers all around...then ended up by buying Edifier M3300... no regret at all

Yes, u can connect it to your LCD and DVD player, no amp needed.
