now playing old S2.1D with moded sat drivers to play high SPL
it has a special reverb sound on vocal, probably wood material lol
but instruments seperation not as good as my CS21
anyway digital rules gonna install it in TV room with DVD player

Z23 over emphasize on the sub, best to play boom boom boom in big room
so your next target must be upgrade better than M33, the design itself contribute a lot

sats are tilted facing upward --the key of M33 to good clarity
while sub is side-firing slim box (push little air) +lightweight (box vibrate itself) =muddy --avoid this

C3 sats are great! sounded very wide but cannot go loud
S330 got fancy phase plug tweeter +big dustcap, still a 2.5" mid-driver where C3 mid-driver perform better

of course Xonar U1 can be used with powered speakers, lower down U1 vol & raise spkr vol if you hear distortion.

besides, the old version takes only optical or coaxial input. zero "2009" has USB.
make sure you know how to setup & connect or get USB SPDIF if the seller has it.

today opened up my old s2.1d
last year it can power up but no sound from speaker, i thought remote was rosak (as many people have this problem)
but i found it was the circuit board trace bad contact, not the remote

haha, what a "nice" quality product
