First of all, I dont think 100% of the speed is something that you can vouch for. Why was it so hard to accept the fact that 1Mbit StreamyX wont run at true 1Mbit speed all the time but we can accept the fact that Wireless G router and adapter doesnt run at 54mbps even when its running at best.

For me, the overall consistency of the services provided matter much more than the peak throughput you can get from StreamyX. Even when I cant get 60% or 70% of my 1.5mbps line, but as long as it works for me at acceptable speed and most important is it works all these while, I can accept it. When you compared the fix rate StreamyX to 3G/EDGE that charges RM25 for every 1MB of data, I dont think its really that expensive like you describe.

Besides, if all of us abide by the rules and stop downloading illegal stuffs from the net, this wouldnt had happened in the first place. So nothing is perfect.

TM also cannot be trusted... Last time went to thier customer service to complait... they told me my place no 2mbps... and only has 1 and 4mb... and you know what? Due to TM problem, they upgraded mine from 1mb into 2mb... and they claim no 2mb.... laugh.gif

erm i'm thinking up a conspiracy theory.....

it goes like this.

tmnet is denying that it service for streamyx is bad and continue to milk its customers dry. the government then awards wireless internet license to other companies that are interested. those who got the licenses will start to provide wireless internet connections to the public.

this will cause the original subscribers of streamyx to migrate to this new isps thus reducing the network load of streamyx. more and more people will migrate to the new isps and cause the network load to increase yet the new isps can't increase their bandwith due to the goverment unwillingness to license more bandwith.

using the unfair profit that it got from milking the subsribers that havent migrated and those who have migrated tmnet is able to lay down the fiber optic network that was mentioned. when this network has been installed and is advertise heavily, the customers of the new isps that are irked by the heavy network load will then migrate back to streamyx.

just my 2 cents. cheers.

Another conspiracy theory that I can think of is...

TM purposely slow down the access and make consumer pissed... And of course TM has successfully fullfill thier objectives because they only provide 0 to 3kB/s speed to thier so call broad band customers. They are expecting lots of complaits like from e-mails and newpapers...

And then this is the nice part... They will use all the proof from the public as excusses/reaons for the government to sponsor them more money in order to invest those hard to judge money like Internet bandwidth and backbone.

Basically it is another way to cheat bigger money like billions of RM... because they tired of cheating small money of its streamyx consumers... Now they want to cheat BIG...

It is also possible that some powerful politician need more money to stabilise his position force TM to do it so he can take half of the money out into his own pocket.

Again... TM Boleh... Cheat small and BIG... All can! BN Boleh! UMNO Boleh! rclxms.gif

So far it is only 81.85% members felt cheated. And it seems there might be 20% does not felt cheated by TM-NUT.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

Please note you guys took 2 years to keep me notify about the
outstanding amount.... "who would actually keep the damn receipt or
evidence after two years" ? and further more this is a concerm about
termination. If you guys lost the records, please do not put the blame

When I first subscribed to streamyx 1mbps line, I was a total noob who didn't know much about broadband and stuff. however I do remember the max speed I could ever get was only 50kBps.

I didn't know about bandwidth capping then. It was only a one or two years ago that I had realised that my streamyx was miscapped at 512kbps.

3rd person come and this time im really angry... he ask me where is my pc, then i said " bang sorry la... sebelum u all duduk senang-lenang depan pc saya, apa kata abang pi check phone line dulu boleh tak?" hehehhe then he check the phone line... and i was right!! and he really look shock that the people came before him never check the phone line not working laugh.gif

everything finally ok... but after that report for full rebate as ive got no connection for 3 month...AND I GOT FULL REBATE AT RM49.00!~ lolzzzzzz

i make a report back about full rebate..but now with a lawyer, after 3 days my full rebate get approve...lolz... and now everything settle!~ thanks to the 3rd person for settling the problem and hear me out rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

Some techinican are good they bring their own modem, equipment, and do their job. Last time when i complain for frequent DC he even stay for 30 mins to make sure the connection is good. But, some of them who r lazy (come empty handed), and said i should re-wire my house telephone line to get better connection.
