this is wat i posted today,i confirm they cheated me ,i also stupid to not check B4 subscribing to streamyx 2mb
so buyers beware dear tm service, i would like to say some thing about your streamyx service,IT SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i believe you guys get it very often) it's been 8 days without streamxy service, and i'm still paying for the service ,line was down on 2-1-09 around 6 am ,made a report on in the afternoon 2-1-09 ,tech came on 3-1-09,said my modem faulty ..then left ,i tested 4 other modems cannot get any connection (by the way 2 of the modems are new ,bought 1 borrow 1)so now i got 3 modems at home ,the tech promise to come to my house for 2nd service on Monday ,but as of today no one has, contacted me or come for the follow up,made a direct complaint at tm point menara pertam, case id 8910641 on wed 07-01-09..... still no feedback.PLS do some thing about your service,i know i'll most likely get an automated e mail response,i've been having allot of problems ever since I upgraded my streamyx line from 1 mb to 2 mb,and i also found out from the tm web side that 2 mb package is only klang valley,i feel I've been cheated, i was told that i was able to 2 mb line in MELAKA by the tm salesman ,that's why i sign up for the package PLS look into it and explain to me WHY am i paying for 2mb line when it's not suppose to be available in my area ? Personally, my experience with Streamyx has been quite OK. I've been in Malaysia for almost 4 years and I haven't had major issues with them except for instances such as these that affect the whole country or region. I've even had my line upgraded from 1MB to 2MB unannounced and free of charge.
However, you should know that in my home country the internet is much worse. Prices are quite high and service is totally unreliable. So, compared to the ISPs in my home country and in my subjective experience Streamyx is quite good. |

QUOTE(Only_Human @ Feb 22 2009, 05:56 PM) Many ISPs, but they all go through the formerly government owned equivalent of TM, which is Saudi Telecom (STC).It's kind of messed up, you have to subscribe to a phone line with STC, an internet subscription with STC, and a subscription with any of the ISPs. Unless you just go with STC's internet service. And they're all pretty much the same crap This post has been edited by angawi: Feb 22 2009, 06:01 PM |

Streamyx is horrible. It was ok 2-3 yrs ago but now the network is so overburdened that it's not even usable.

Well, there are some users who are happy with the service that tmNut streamyx is providing according to the poll result.
Yes, I'm from Subang, everything was considerably "average" until a couple of days ago where I can't even load a bloody gmail or google page. Things seems to get back to normal for now. Gosh, I missed those times where streamyx was stable and fast, and that was like in the year of 2003, 6 years ago. Damn you streamyx. This post has been edited by Bluewizzy: Feb 27 2009, 08:51 AM |

Best effort my arse. Getting irritated by streamyx a lot these days. Neither me or my housemates are into the habits of using torrents...Yet sometimes I feel my internet speed is being throttled when I try to download pictures and documents for my studies.... Added on February 27, 2009, 8:55 pmOverall i'm quite satisfied with the screamyx service, everytime i have problem, they will fix for me without 48 working hours. Anyway, this is just my personal opinion and may be applicable to my area only Below is my result for 512kbps package ![]() This post has been edited by nothingz: Feb 27 2009, 08:56 PM |
