U are just clueless...
when ppl post for this thread, its "Work and Travel USA"!!! look at title lah

with regards to crime in States, no one posting here is near midwest or the Uni.
ppl who went for these programs work in Disney, yellowstone, 6 flags, winter most likely ski resort in Colorado not Universities.
these ppl certainly don't stay near Uni or on campus.
no one wanna rob poor students, U don't live in US what do U know. when U state London, Melbourne how much do u know about them?
a quick google, unemployment rate there around 6% in comparison LA is above 12%.
mid west unemployment rates also not low, MI over 22%, Chicago over 10%, Indiana over 10%, KY over 11%, Ohio over 11% etc.

Correct me if i am wrong. If you go to the abovementioned website to check for information for visa application, in the end it will also bring you back to the so called private/commercial website, https://www.vfs-usa-my.com/Home.aspx

US embassy has outsourced this to third party. This should be ok if directly linked by them.

Hi, I have some question would like to ask about the visa application.I plan to go Washington this Dec to visit a friend for about a month.Should i get the air ticket 1st before apply online for the visa ? Cause this week is Matta fair already and MAS doing promotion as well on the ticket.

Since im working as a private tutor, i don't have any pay slip.So there is not much transaction in my bank account.I dont really have strong financial proven to show them.Cause my bf will be sponsoring my trip. Will it be hard for the application if i dont have strong financial to show them ?
Or do i need to show them my teaching permit or my next coming exam in April'2010 ?
Is there any letter i can write to convince them i will come back to Malaysia ?

Thanks a lot.

Hi, I'll be traveling to USA in a few days . I just have some concerns about stuffs that I can and can’t bring with me and if I could bring them, are there any special packaging rules that I need to adhere to. The stuffs I have in mind are:

1. Perfumes (already used)
2. Gillette razor shaver
3. Shaving cream
4. Seretide Accuhaler for my asthma
5. Ventolin Evohaler, also for my asthma
6. Hair gel
7. Cigarettes, brand name Sempoerna

Do you plan to bring these with your carry-on or check-in luggage? I believe everything you listed here can be put into check-in luggage except shaving cream ( depends if it's flammable ).

For carry-on, 4,5 and 7 should not be a problem.
As for 1,2, 3 and 6 refer to http://www.tsa.gov/311/ and http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/pro...ited-items.shtm.

Hope that helps.
