However, there are some successful cases right?
I heard some from local uni went for WAT during final year and they skip their graduation ceremony.
in other words, they go for WAT right after they finish their exams or internship.
is that how they got enough time for WAT?
i really want to go for this program but i see there are more obstacles behind.
hmm..  rclxub.gif

Hey, so how much did you pay (including air ticket) for this? And also, you can join only if you study college/university in msia?

I'm studying at a local uni currently, 3rd year...

This time I'll be havin my longest sem break yet - 3 months from April to June, classes start on July...

I wanted to go for this US WAT programme for about 10 weeks, then travel for 1 week... What you guys think? Is going for about 2 months plus worth it?

USM... I'm studying medicine, so my semester is different from other courses... This year I will have my longest sem break, 3 months... After this, my sem breaks would be only for 1 months max...

If I didn't go this year, maybe I'll go only in my final year but I might need to miss the graduation...

Anyway, what's deferring graduation? Is it different from not attending graduation?

So can someone reply me? Is it worth it to go for this programme and work for 2.5 months then travel for 1 week?

ahh.. i see i see.. it seems there're a lot of USM students joining for this coming summer programme.
saw it in facebook fan page : http://www.facebook.com/workandtravelusa.o...y?v=wall&ref=nf

same here.. if i'm not joining this time, i might have to miss the graduation like you.
well, i know nothing about the deferring graduation.
i wouldn't choose to defer anyway.

hopefully there are somebody to reply you regarding the Q.

I think you have to in any tertiary education meaning university/collage in order to be eligible for this programme.

Im joining this summer as well...

The poster above that wanted to go for 2 months only, I don;t think you can cover back ur RM10k spent (including air ticket). Probably if you work really hard (i.e. two jobs), you might even out your cost.

Anyone applied for yellowstone this summer? biggrin.gif

THis is my last week for my WAT program. I signed up for the winter program. Right now i am in New York City and really exhausted from my 9hours delayed flight.

Before travelling, i worked as a cook in Nashville. People here are really nice but there are those crazy homeless people.

My most important advice is choose your sponsor right. My sponsor was GEC, they gave me a great headache on my housing issue and a lot of miss communication between them and SPEEDWING and my boss.
