Anything to do to those clips, please ask the SC to do it because some clips are not replaceable. They attach to the plastic part itself. Like those two plastic part infront the wind screen. When the service foreman opened up those plastic, most of the clips broken; left one on each side and they are not replaceable unless the whole plastic part is replaced. I have to claim these parts from HQ SC during my visit in March.

Wow, from the web site, people really put lots of effort to bring down the noise level. But those plastic parts are too fregile for us to handle here.

Hi gang... today my krek krek crossover 'menayang' kat tempat kerja. I ingat bila pakai plat wilayah org tak perasan sgt keta baru, rerupanya banyak yg berkali-kali memandang coz lambangnya 'tak pernah nampak'... and hari ni i terpaksa jd jurucakap sykt Chery Alado memperkenalkan model 'baru' ni... ntah-ntah kat PB ni i je kot yg pakai... Apapun hari ni org yg cakap jgn ambik keta China dulu dah tak kata apa bila tgk my eastar (tak tahu lah kot kutuk dlm hati)... may be jgk sebab dah pasang PU seat, carpet mat dan tinted so nampak kemas sikit kot... Tu belum lagi pasang dvd dan reverse camera... bodykit, door visor. Hmm... kena tunggu 'tabung' bertambah dulu baru blh jeling-jeling kat kedai kot... alahai, kena tunggu lagi...

Dear all,
I've trigerred new problem with my bintang. I'm not sure wheter this is a problem or not but i'm just afraid of this. Semalam hujan lebat and there were so many air bertakung kat jalan. When my bintang lalu kat lopak2 air tu, out of sudden ada bunyik krekkkk krekkk kreekkk like something is sangkut either at the engine /aircorn fan/aircon belt not sure from which area but i'm very sure that ada air masuk...and the best part tu ada sekali i langgar lopak the kreekk kreek sound appeared and kacau my radio sekejap....takutnyer..

dulu I pernah ada problem ni with my avanza tapi benda tu berlaku after 4 tahun I guna avanza so acceptable la...ni kete I baru 4000km mileage..camno.. ada sesiapa yang pernah mengalami benda ni tak. Please help...so now I memang ada kegusaran sedikit bila hari hujan maa...

That sound from ac belt no worry.on the radio ,im not sure,might be intermitence of coverage or etc.never happen b4 2 me.my advise go to sc pj right away.

Mine also have the same problem with IlmanDeena. Every time went through "lopak air' sound kreek2 came out. I believed that it's came from AC or FAN belt down there. Need to ask SC to lookout this problem.
One more problem that i face, once i shake my car from outside or whenever back or front passenger went in the MPV,krek-krek sounds came out from the back of MPV suspension either spring/coil ? Sounds like 10 yrs old carlah. GERRRAMMM. Any comments MR. Enigma ??

Firstly, just tighten those belts will solve the problem. I have just got it done today. Secondly, this MPV is meant for 7 persons. When the car is not loaded or fully loaded, you will have this type of sound. No big issue. Just take it easy.
I happened to full load my Eastar during Chinese New Year once, what a surprise! The car is so stable and so quiet; yet is it still so powerful. Superb!

Perhaps...you can try to check spare tyre holder....put some grease on the join to the MPV body .....and 1 more thing to highlight ....put some rubber within your spare tyre and the holder ....like bicycle tyre tube to avoid your tyre kena makan ngan itu holder....if kept for too long .....cause the holder pressure......

smliu theory is true and i admit ,,.....once in blue moon fully loaded your eastar.....and the handling is more stable.....true or not is just a theory ....

other than that .....launching of Tiggo at Ampang ....this coming 7 or 8 Mac....Chery Alado invite all CMC or Eastar owner to join the launching ......official invitation I will follow up with Alado HQ PJ ......take care all...

Good afternoon to all

I have been following this forum for the last couple of months before deciding on purchasing the cheryeastar. I have been a proud owner of a sapphire silver chery for the last two months. So far so good. I have a few comments to make

1) Bau asap is something which I have not really encountered. Perasan hanya bila pasang aircon in outside air mode. Bila pasang internal recirculation mode , tak ada ( but then I ni ada resdung......)
2) Bunyi like something loose from the centre console noticed only recently ( not there before sending for first 1000 km service). Itu pun probably after I was leaning against the dashboard in order to adjust the tripmeter
3) Bunyi kreeeeeek bila lalu lopak air tu is something again which I have only noticed recently ( again not there before sending for 1000km service). tapi tak selalu berbunyi. the noise is unpredictable, but to me not worrying. Will take it up with SC during 5000km service
4) i do agree with other chery owners that this mpv is much more stable when fully loaded. I have had a similar experience with the Toyota Unser. These type of mpvs are made to carry people/things.

All in all ithe chery eastar to me has been a reliable and dependable car, and I do believe it is value for money

we buy something because of a reason .....no matter what people condemn or think... its our decision ...our effort ....our courage.....I'm glad ....lots of Chery Eastar owners are purely happy eventhough jeopardize our faith at the first seems its a first MPV from China to sell here ....and no much review on this MPV except from China's car forum ....

Perhaps 800-1000 Chery Eastar already on the Malaysia's road.....that doesn't count in Labuan and Langkawi ....where CBU's sold for only RM 40K.....

Now it's been 5 months .....been through with CE .....all I can say ...value for money and bring family together.....

I'm also doesn't plan to buy this MPV ...but I've follow on Eastar since 2006 when I saw it news in one of the local paper.....

Proton Exora ...merely Chery Eastar chassis platform ......with a bit modification here and there....but in my opinion still underpower if occupy 7 adults inside.....

anyway ......we all have a reason ......enjoy happy weekend and pay day !!!
