I think to be fair, running biz is to earn money too. So, if you don't like the price, then drive to Sg and get a unit directly there and try your luck to bypass the ketam. If I'm getting the PC unit, just put it in the trunk and throw away the box. Pretend it is like ah beng very geng sub for car pre-install in Malaysia. My brother is in Sg so might get his help to get a unit for PC-13Plus. Looking to dual sub with my DD-12. May ask him to ship from Singapore written down as used unit and lower price invoice. Too lazy to drive all the way to Singapore -- Penang.

If you check the Singapore pricing compare to US direct ship to Malaysia without the tax, it cost almost the same so if you manage to to bypass ketam, you would save around RM 1800 in tax (-RM 300 for petrol and toll + 1 day lost). Time to propose to your HM your next holiday trip is driving to Singapore (- the kid) to make space for the sub 

Another route I might take is get a subwoofer kit for F15 and get a local carpenter to make the box for me. This would be the cheapest way to get my second sub.

Put it in this way, if you don't like the price, you can pick other brand. It's not that SVS is the only good sub.

try tell that to Woo Kee Hong or B&W speakers dealer here in M'sia....

I would get the 4310 & B&W CM9 if their price are same like UK price....

bro i come in peace.. but svs is not supposed to be b&w .. they r supposed to be budget subwoofers i like svs becoz of their service n great price to performance ratio... they r successful bcoz of that too..

i think thre is nothing much htkaki can do to reduce the price .. i do think pb12nsd rm4k shippsed to northen region is fair.. it is not cheap.. just fair as we have to pay that price anyway if we buy door to door..  i used UK price just as an example as velodyne cht12q n pb12nsd are alomost the same price.. but when it comes to malaysia suddenly pb12nsd is rm1k more expensive.. velodyne pays bills too, rental ,salary.. wait a minute..  do they pay tax?   

lighting  .. sea freight u need volume.. if u send 10 subs through sea it will be loose cargo.. transport cost it might not be cheaper .. the only diff is sea freight u can adjust ALOT on the tax .. if u order whole container then u might save on transport cost.. but htkaki is a dealer.. not a distributor.. if order 1 container mati la..

I fully understand that.  What htkaki did is good thing.  He is trying to help us all get svs sub....but now the price seems to go higher.  And we lose the privilege to order direct from SVS.  Imagine if I were to buy a PC12+ now and it would cost Rm5800 plus shipping to Miri, Sarawak which could be another few hundred Rm more.  That means a PC12+ is easily Rm6500 which if we order direct would only cost us RM4800.  Now I hope all of you can understand why I am complaining about.

Just ask them to sent to Brunei....I think KEC distributorship does not covers there....and no need to pay tax somemore....
Actually, you can do this to help our "poor" forumers here, and make a few bucks as well by shipping it to KL....

Something retailed for USD1k is sold for 5+k here is big gap and it's a bit hard to digest.

instead of getting 100% of the malaysia business if you meet target, then just settle for 5%-10% of the cake, i.e. those people who are willing to accept your pricing.  I'm sure that's more than enuf for the time being.. 

like those Denon, B&W so high price compared to UK sale price, still also  can sell wot..
