I would like to ask if I'm using these lamps, from what time to what time should I on it? By the way my tortoises are placed indoors [which means without direct light from the sun.

Added on April 25, 2010, 11:22 pmim not sure about tortoise..coz i using on turtle...the solar glo bulb & the procelain is dam hot, even i just open for awhile less then 10minit....after 30minit, my whole turtle cliff, also dam hot ....so i turn off the bulb.

Hehe yeah, I usually raise it to 3/4 of the tank. But that day, i reduce to 3inch only as i was testing the dock.

Does anyone knows how to apply license for tortoise?

anyway is just sux..coz if not mistaken end of 2009 or early 2010, then say turtle / tortoise need license... until now no more news aready, but u can call and try to ask ...

just mind the fact that you can't get a permit if you animal doesn't have proper documentations in the first place...

What if I've already kept the star tortoise for 2 years+. Is it still possible to apply for a license? The licensing system only started this year. What about those who have kept these tortoises for a long time already and do not have proper documentation.

Some updates about my RES..

- One of the two turtles ran away when we were transporting them, and we only have one left now
- They developed white patches on the carapace around CNY. Just sent the remaining turtle to the vet last week and got betadine + silver sulfadiazine to treat it. It seems to be looking better after a few days.
- It's been a year since we got the turtle. Treated it with a canister filter and replacement uv lamp for their birthday

any veterinarians in KL or Selangor..
