no no....i do feed dry food. canned food is normally for her dinner. hehe....i used to buy snappy tom ultimates but later change to burp from Pet Lovers Center.
but what i found is, she doesnt want to eat dry food if i feed her canned food. she knows that she will have something good at night, so she eat less during day time. so now, i dont feed her canned food everyday but changed to alternate days. biggrin.gif but her fur still dropped a lot. so yesterday was the 1st time i cook for her biggrin.gif

of course lah hehehe. wet food is much more delicious than dry food although it has very less nutrition.

its like banana split ice cream and eating rice + vegetable. which will u choose, of course the delicious banana split ice cream during this hot day.

more likely, we prefer junk food than proper healthy food (normally taste yacks!) tongue.gif

so you end up spoil your cat to be choosy. she is not choosy by nature, but you teach her to be that way. end of they day, i believe she will skip dry food and rather stay starving to wait for canned food.

what dry food you feeding?

how old is she?

already neuter?

errkk you vet did not recommended FRONTLINE (spray/spot on)?  hmm.gif weird, from what i know almost all vet will recon this product when it comes to fleas and other parasites.

fleas is like the movie by leonardo di caprio - catch me if you can. fleas are hard to catch, and even escape from the cat body your you and your house. but it the end, they will die too.

there is only 1 cat flea.

i think what you trying to ask is "how many type of parasites on cat?".

Fleas, mites, lice, ticks, ringworm, etc.
*
Actually the vet gave me the shampoo is before my cat got fleas.
I'll get the Frontline later. So how to use it?
put which spot at my cat? how frequent use it in daily?
Normally how many days can see the effects?
after cure then still need to put frontline?like every month once for prevention??

Frontline Spray type = spray the hole body, but not the face. to start spraying, start from neck and under neck (mouth). so the fleas from the body cannot run away to the head. fleas are smart, they know the safe place to go is the face part. so you need to spray around neck first for protection. then spray the whole body, especially in between legs and tail. You may need 2 person to do this job. because cats hate that spraying sound. leave it for 24-48 hours, before you bath your cat.
It is better to quarantine your cat after spray. I mean, if you have cage, cage him for awhile. try to avoid doing spray job on carpet. do it on tiles floor. fleas will jump away from your cat and hide in the carpet. so no carpet. quarantine will make sure your cat is at one place, and will not drop any fleas around your house.
If you have more than 1 cats, you need to apply to all cats at one time. suspected all cats carry fleas too. if you do on 1 cat only, the fleas will never end, because there are still fleas on other cats.
Spray type is good if you want fast job and it is suitable if your cat has too many fleas.

Frontline Spot = apply it on the neck, this is the place the cat cannot lick. then you are done. this is only suitable for protection in future. if your cat already carried fleas, you better use spray type which work immediately. Spot on type, takes time to get into the skin. so if the fleas know about it, they will alert to safe their live and come back later.

after you spray and found no more fleas, then use spot on for protection. if you still see fleas after one week, spray again.

clean your home, vacuum all carpet, sofa, your bed, mattress and mop the floor especially wooden type.

i used to feed her RC fit 32, but she takes 3 months plus to finish 4kg packet. so you suspected that she doesnt like RC, remember? now i changed to SP, chicken flavor. but still da same. she doesnt eat much. maybe will change to origen once she finished this packet.

when i got her back, the vet said she was 7 months. so now is about 1 year 1 month.

yes.

i think because you make she want canned food more than dry food. that's why she does not prefer dry. most cats will love wet food rather than the dry. only small % cats do not like wet food.. like my SKY tongue.gif he's 5 years old this coming 16th april, he does not like wet food. Not even the raw, he say yacks! Mia does not like raw, but she likes the canned food.

Dear all,

Kindly need you guys help and suggestions. Since 2 days ago my female DLH cat (Jeny) refused to eat but only drink. She is now 3 months old. Yesterday I went to vet but the vet said Jeny is fine and not infected with any decease. Today she looks worse, very thin. I blend food (RC kitten + water) feed her using sringe, hope she will be fine.

Any help and suggestion? Thanks a lot guys...

Yeap they have self preference. But the most important food for them is the daily dry food.

You see, cats are like human kids. My nephew, never like vegetable since small, and my sister (his mom) never thought him to eat any. When my nephew say "don't want", my sister will just put the vegetable aside. And till now, he never like vegetable.

If you spoil your cat like this, they will be like that forever.

and believe it or not, teaching cats to eat food is much more easier to teach human kids. Cats will eat when they are hungry, like it or not, they will eat it.

SKY never like canned food, which means save my budget, since canned food does not have much nutrition, it is just like a treat.

all my cats eat daily food, so nothing much to prepare, just make sure the dry food is available from time to time.

Sky do not eat non dry food, so he will just reject it.

Mia do not like raw food and she will just reject it if i feed the others raw.

and all the others will eat canned food + raw food.

so i don't have problem preparing food for them. only mia do not eat raw, and sky do not eat both. the others eat anything.

oh i see....but still a lot of efforts needed to measure how much food need to be prepare. El, i still have one more question, yesterday when i went to mamak stall to get my lunch, i saw a kitten outside the stall and her mum was no where to be seen. and i asked the mamak stall owner, he told me that this kitten has no mummy since weeks ago. so i brought her back, was thinking ot get someone to adopt her. but at the same time, i do think of adopting this little kitty as well but my cat who used to be alone all this while tried to bully her. but the kitten didnt even scared of my cat. she ate my cat's food, drink her water, sleep on her bed. my cat just hide at a corner and look at her. so everything goes on well. they stayed in a same cage last night. but just now, the kitten was quite playful, when my cat wave/move her tail, she went to catch it and bite it!!!! and my cat started to fight back. my god!!! this is the 1st time i see the cats fight. how to overcome this eh??? should i just get someone to adopt her?

I used this science plan cup.. got it from vet.. that cup has measurement on it smile.gif

you cat now has social problem, your cat has establish territory which is inside your house. since you cat is the only cat, he intend to make the whole cat belong to him.

so now, the kitten. small kitten don't scare to anything. like human baby, they see goes but still smile tongue.gif if use, sure lari already ahahah. kitten do not know what is territory, who is male, who is female, who going to fight, which cat is good and bad, etc. since that kitten is a stray, she has no problem dealing with other cats. because outside, there are many stray cats even gangster than your cat.

kitten love to play, they even force other cat to play with them. they even disturb others. so bad temper cat won't like this. especially cat like yours, he seem to hate intruders, visitors, new comer.

you be careful, your cat might hurt the kitten. hopefully there won't be blood war.

Real fight means when both cat/kitten making sound. this is very hot and spicy fight. at this point, never interrupt.. go get water, and splash to them. never use your have, in this fight, u might end up being attack.

One fight means, only one cat making the sound, while another no voice. one cat want to show their power and strength. while the other one obey, but still waiting to fight back if that cat pouch her/him.

i'm pretty sure you can start open up adoption advert now smile.gif if you don't have intention to keep her, better do it now, before she grew bigger.

You are consider lucky to get that price RM67 = 250ml.. i think the cheapest i heard RM65. i get mine RM70 dude.. so that is consider standard. Fuel, toll, and parking will cost more if i buy from pet safari. so i better just buy at the nearby petshop, different only RM3.

maybe because not much demand on this product. not everybody have pets. so they have to sell it high, to gain $$. beside frontline is the best among the rest. you can get cheaper fleas spray, giant/tesco/carrefour has the cheap cheap one tongue.gif

Frontline Spray = to remove it now
Frontline spot on = for prevention.

buy both, if you have cash.

can't remember the spot on price, maybe around rm45-rm60 for 3 tubes.
