Ok noted.
Just spray my cat and quarantine him in cage. And finished vacuum and mop the floor...very tired now..
hopefully later all fleas gone.  biggrin.gif

when your cat recover from fleas, make sure he will be completely indoor. if you want him to be in and out door, you cannot skip fleas from coming. just use frontline spot before he go outside. hopefully that will help.

i observe 2 days already, she doesnt have ear mites. cause the vet told me, if the cat has ear mites, the ear will become black again 1 day after i cleaned it. but have a little bit of fleas. but my cat has done flea prevention every month.
other than these, there will be no problem already right? or still have other problems?? i not sure eh.....

the frontline looks complicated cuz the kitty looks young, and she is very very thin, looks like skeleton, so i bought milk for her just now. guess this will get a vet to help me. smile.gif

normally syrup type is for kitten 3 months below.

basically that syrup type you need to give them at age 6 weeks, 8 weeks, and 12 weeks.

more than that, tablet can be use.

so you mean, your cat has no fleas, but the kitten has a lil bit?

hopefully the fleas did not hope on your cat, and start breeding eggs again.

what i do if i rescue kitten, i will quarantine them from my own cats. for god sake, i don't want 10 of my cats get fleas, then i need to buy 3 bottle of 250ml frontline LOL.

so that rescue kitten, i will immediately spray with frontline. let he rest 24 hours. the next day bath with fleas shampoo, let the kitten wet with the shampoo bubble for 5-10 minutes. clean the ears too.

dry kitten up, still quarantine, and comb the kitten with fleas comb. you need to remove dead fleas and possibility remove the eggs too with that comb.

then you can bring the kitten to the vet after 1 day bath. they will check everything, skin & fur condition (this is how they can detect if there is parasite - by scan it under microscope)

when u feel the home is secure from fleas, then you can introduce the new comer.

--

i'm not sure if you already bring the kitten to the vet. i think not yet right? else the vet will deworm that kitten first. then you see increase of weight. since b4 this, the kitten eat all rubbish food, 100% she has parasites.

pet milk is ok, but if you see diarrhea (cirit birit / soft poop) then stop milk. some kitten/cat they their stomach cannot tolerate with factory product. factory milk is different from mother's milk.

--

i advice, the best is to bring the kitten to the vet first. before "my worst enemy (parasite)" infected your beloved cat.

if your cat is above 3 months, they should be on tablet form.

if you purchase this tablet from petshop, the pack normally has this instruction, saying follow the body weight. vet normally will weight your cat first, before apply the deworm tablet.

normal overdose, you can see vomit, diarrhea, and look alil bit sick (not active).. should recover soon. this is normally too, some cat will still vomit if no overdose, it's like the reaction of the drug if they don't get used with it. if you see this sign for a long time like 3-4 days, and your cat is not eating.. then RED ALERT YOU NEED VET!

bad luck overdose... i don't want to say lah... eheheh

OMG! you give the full tablet is it for that small kitten? hopefully she can tahan.. 1 full tablet normally the pack will say for 3-4 kg if im not mistaken.

you should divided the table into 6 parts, and if only 1/6 parts if you never deworm your kitten by yourself.

again, hopefully she can handle the strong reaction.

depends.. cannot tell when the adult fleas will lay eggs. if your new kitten bring adult eggs meeting your cat... then possibility adult fleas will lay eggs...

but since you have spot on, on your cat, not too worry much, the adult fleas will suck your cat blood and die. also the eggs when they become fleas.

so now the kitten, if u have spray, u can spray. if you afraid, bring to the vet, ask the vet for opinion. vet will know what size and age is your kitten.then later u can spot on the kitten too. icon_rolleyes.gif

yeap orijen is for both cat & kitten. but the kibbles size seem to be big for kitten age 1-3 months. and also the price is quite expensive. if you only have 2 pets, then it is suitable. get the 7kg = RM145, you can use that till 3 months. rather than buying the smaller packs.

bro..i was wondering... how many cats do you have now?

one of your cat just past away right? and another one kurus like the one before?

If YES, CORRECT... i smell something fishy lah bro.. like, your cats has similar problem? are they siblings or different family?
*
Al,

Last time i have 4 cats, 1 died (DLH - Jeny) so now 3 left. 1 DLH female 4months (not same sibling as Jeny) and other 2 Local breed (Taby 3months). These 2 taby looks kurus a bit as i told earlier.

I'm not mixing in a same cage with the DLH. They are in other cage. Just monitor yesterday. Looks good they eat well.

Actually my cat is completely indoor's cat. I just wonder how can this fleas come to him. What i suspect is recently got two stray cat come to my house. (I'm staying terrace house, they lepak in front car park) They even siting outside the door(mirror door), and do some territory marking and see my cat reaction. My cat of course angry and meow laughter here and there, and wanna jump outside, look like wanna get a big fight with them(i don't think my cat can win, coz the stray cats look like warrior... laugh.gif ) After that i found my cat got fleas... is not many, just few fleas (what i saw and catched, but dono they breed eggs or not), i'm also worry the fleas come back...
Btw, can i use the Frontline spray for prevention? since i have it now and thinking izit necessary only can use spot on for prevention?was thinking finished spray bottle 1st then only get the spot on... so can i do that?
So today is the 1st day to quarantine my cat. I only can release him after 3 days right? Then whats the next step should i do? Bath him.. clean the cage...? how often put the frontline for prevention? every month once? Please advise, Thanks!

it's look like you are new with kitten and cat?

none of them ever visit vet? vaccine, deworm and health check up?

that age, is it estimate or the correct one with date of birth?
