Coz i'm in singapore and im interested in getting the sager from xoticpc, unfortunately they dont do direct shipping to countries outside of america and canada and they dont accept non-american credit cards.

Ouch US223 just for shipping charges. If do bank transfer get additional discount or no since the config i did at their website adds up to USD 1736. If add the shipping charges close 2 USD 2k which is abit off my budget, plus i dont get any tech support if it spoils.

How good is it? Is it like Dell's one where the plastic are soft and flimsy or similar to HP's one,the plastic are stiffer,more rigid and overall feels better build quality.

Its nice to see another Sager/Clevo user in Malaysia. My specifications are as the following;

15.4" WSXGA+, Intel® P9500, nVidia GeForce 9800M GTS 512MB, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB 7200RPM HDD and normal DVD drive.

Paid for $1,980.74, picked the USPS shipping method without tracking number as it will cost me a good solid $2,093.26 with tracking number.

Guess I'll update a little bit.

Just got my machine. It was shipped last Friday and arrived this morning, took around 4 business days to arrive. Pretty impressive I'll say as I live in Labuan ATM (An island that not every Malaysian know lol and I'm really risking the notebook to be stolen as it require plenty of transit in order to arrive at my place).

Pretty much everything is the same with corad's 8660 so I'll not mention them.

But I must say, this.notebook.is.rock.solid in term of built quality.

The design is overall business like, nice clean and professional look with its brushed aluminium surface. Bring up front to do presentation and everyone will be wondering what the heck is the brand of this laptop.

No flashy light(s) (Except for the power button) and no freaking touch sensitive button(s) (All my previous notebook have them and for some reason, I hate it, always accidentally touch them). Play/Pause button is being re-allocated to Fn+~.

Another few things to praise is the disc drive is located at the left, which mean it will not bump into your mouse when its eject. With the disc drive at the left, naturally the HDD is located at the right, which also mean when you game, your left hand will not feel the heat at the palm rest.

As for the con, the.webcam.is.rubbish. However, I'm not a webcam user but I thought it will be a good reference for the other. The size of the power brick can be troublesome.

To sum up, I'm happy with this machine. At 7.1lbs, it weight just same as my previous 15.4" notebook but pack with a bigger punch. So no complaint carrying it around!

Haha been meaning to ask if you had received your laptop. Good to know it arrived so promptly. I just placed an order for an NP8660(similar specs to yours), all the while worrying that something would go dreadfully wrong during shipping. Definitely reassuring to hear from you . Quick question though - who actually physically delivered the package to your address? Was wondering as the $223 shipping option that I chose means that the US Postal Service will be responsible for shipping. As they aren't a specialist shipping and logistics firm like Fed Ex or UPS, I'm kinda afraid that when the laptop reaches our shores the Pos Malaysia dudes will (mis)handle it lol. Please enlighten me!

Without a doubt, the NP8660 is an awesome all-around performer. This 15.4-inch gaming notebook is the fastest in its class for gaming performance, and is faster than many 17-inch gaming notebooks. I give the NP8660 my full recommendation for gamers looking for a suitable machine.
