It's here!

Meticulously crafted, brushed aluminum, creating a strong exterior finish all the while exuding elegance. Oh man, I'm in love lol.  wub.gif

Will update this post soon (I hope). At the moment suffering through the initial charge - have to go handcuff myself to my bedpost to stop myself from turning the Sager on.  tongue.gif

Hahaha nice post !

If I'm a mod I will edit your sentence to " ... have to go handcuff myself to my bedpost, together with = a leather whip, a mouth gag, bulldog collar, etc to stop myself from turning myself on. "

Hahaha jkjk

Anyway congratz ! Be sure not to "dirty" your Sager in the process of holding yourself back !

Yeap, finally some good news wink.gif . Just received an email from xoticpc after i mailed them my request for refund. Accordingly they just received confirmation regarding my wire transfer early sunday dawn. Beats me flat out on why, how and which bank operates on weekends sweat.gif  blink.gif .
My order will be updated today thumbup.gif .
Well if i have 20k readily available plus sufficient time for a vacation then i might consider it brows.gif  tongue.gif .
Well i guess it is not much different than other sager's laptop in term of design besides the spec of coz. Anyway will keep u guys updated on it.

Congrats to u, how long it took from after the order was confirmed to the day u received it?

That's good to hear. Don't worry, Xotic PC is very professional and efficient with the way they handle orders. I'm sure they will be happy to help with any issues you have.

After they confirmed my payment, it took them 3 days to build and ship it. From then onwards, postage was handled by the US Postal Service, so I used the tracking number at their website to track my laptop. All in all, from the shipping date on the 14th of January, it took 4 business days to arrive at my doorstep in KL. Fortunately I did not encounter any issues with Malaysian Customs, and neither did I have to pay EMS charges.

I'm starting to think we should change this thread into a Sager thread instead tongue.gif.

I remember Ashikune talked about his machine being shipped a week ago or so.
*
Yea, we should. you think it'll be better to continue here with a new thread title ? or just start a new thread ? tongue.gif

Hm? I don't think its possible as they (the machines) will be packed into two different boxes with plenty of protections each. IMO its not a smart move, you don't want to lose all the protections to the machine just to save up some cash don't you?

If you’re purchasing more than one notebook and having them shipped in the same package we may be able to offer you a volume shipping discount. We would provide you a custom quote for shipping once your order has been submitted online.

Be sure to post some pictures of open box once they arrive. I'm really interested to see if they squeeze two machines into one box sacrificing all the protection or use a bigger box.

As you can see from corad's picture which is also my case.

Giancoli textbook as mousepad?? Man, my teacher will be furious. Haha...
This is a beast to carry, around 3.3kg must be a real chore to carry it around; well I guess you have to forgo portability for scorching performance eh?

JFYI, original link here.

The Clevo M860TU/ Sager NP8660 quad core support is now OFFICIAL. Link

Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor Q9000
(2.26GHz, 45nm, FSB1066, 12MB L2 cache, 478uFC-PGA, Socket P)

And according to Goph from NotebookReview, he got to know from Sager representative, there will be a a new motherboard/ thermal revision M860TU/ NP8660 similar to the recently M570TU > ETU/ NP5796 > NP5797. He also believes that since Q9000 and Q9100 has the same TDP of 45w, the Q9100 should also be supported provided if the bios has it supported.

15.4" Notebook with quad core? Beat that.

I'm thinking of rolling out a buyer's guide but i think this has to wait. Anyway, price has come down a lot since my last purchase. Now you could get similar specification with mine but with the P9600 YET still lower price than mine by a little and also T9800 is now available from Xotic PC for those who prefer better performance.

[EDIT]

2nd link fixed.

Yeah can't agree more, my Inspiron 6400 has 9-cell battery which tips the weighting scale at 3.3kg as well.

Quad processor in a notebook is not a new thing. Quad processor in a 15.4" notebook is a new thing and Clevo got the first.

Anyway it is not available in US only, we just need to wait until major reseller have them in stock for sell.
